Ken, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So, let’s start with trends – what are some of the largest or more impactful trends you are seeing in the industry?
Some of the biggest trends I see starting to form in my industry is Social & Technology Partnerships. In the growing age of social media it takes less time to reach more people by simply posting video content. This beats out cold calling to me all while occupying your time doing other activities. I use my app company Metrotap to make sharing your contact information quick and easy simply by tapping another compatible device.

My name is Ken Walker. I’m an app developer with a Hardware/Software company called Metrotap. Metrotap is digital business card that uses NFC technology to allow capable phones to instantly transfer information to other phones simply by tapping. I came up with the idea during the pandemic while staring at a box of business cards I would never get around to passing out. I thought to myself Wow Ken How much money do you waste on paper business cards every year? That’s when I started to research more eco friendly and easier alternatives. From there Metrotap was born.
Any fun sales or marketing stories?
One of my favorite risky marketing success stories was actually working with local businesses to help promote the Taps. I would walk up with a corny line and they would respond explaining their business. The next thing I know it took off like a rocket on TikTok.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source of new clients for me has definitely been TikTok. With over 60K followers and counting. TikTok has been my #1 way of gaining new clients
