Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ken Morris. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Ken thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
I wanted to create a brand that people could trust in the industry and be proud to be a part of and show off on hats, keychains etc. The Stripe Life represents top quality lawn care work and the skill and hard work behind those stripes. We have had the pleasure of working with many top equipment brands in the industry and use a lot of cool gear. The end goal would be making Stripe Life a positive and respected brand name in the industry. A household name for lawn and landscape professionals.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I created a lawn care group on facebook where pros and serious joes could help eachother discuss products, showcase their work and a general place for likeminded enthusiasts to gather. I noticed a need years ago for a more professional group and one that was managed better. Most groups online would bash people for asking for help and questions etc. Flash forward 5+ years and we have a successful Facebook group with 54k+ members all over the world, a growing and fun Instagram account and Tiktok account. We went from giving away stickers to mowers and even a truck giveaway coming soon in October at the Equip Expo in Kentucky.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
I dont think the green industry gets the respect they deserve. Working through the heat and physically demanding conditions and a serious daily battle.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I started with a Facebook group built around top quality work and keying on the stripes that mowers make in the lawn. The green industry lives and dies by the stripes. I remember hitting up other groups and trying to share the page with everyone. A boots on the ground technique. After 1k members in the group I started doing giveaways and they have grown dramatically.
