We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kemora Reaves. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kemora below.
Alright, Kemora thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about one of the craziest things you’ve experienced in your journey so far.
As you all know, the real estate market for the past couple years have been crazy with an extreme sellers’ market and buyers having difficulty getting offers accepted. My client was looking for a fresh start and needed a townhome. We searched for at least three months and put in over seventeen offers; my client was ready to throw in the towel. She said, “this will be my last showing and I’m going to take a break”. We put in a offer on this home and it was ACCEPTED!! She is now living comfortable in her townhome and her one year anniversary just passed.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am a real estate agent and I help people sell or buy homes. I think what sets me apart is my character, I am not the overzealous sales agent that some people are accustomed to. I get the job done and I still stay true to the values I have been raised with, integrity and kindness. The lesson I have learned is that preparation and investing in yourself is key. It is not easy, building a real estate business from the ground up in a new city has had its challenges. What I am most proud of is that I didn’t give up! I was agent of Month at our brokerage this past December 2021.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I use the same approach with my clients as I do with my family and friends, I check in through text or phone call even after the transaction has closed. I have built solid relationships with most of my clients, and I am so appreciative of their business.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I am currently in a pivot in my business. I am learning how to use social media more effectively for business to gain clientele. It is completely out of my comfort zone, but I am embracing it and I recognize that there will be growing pains.
