We caught up with the brilliant and insightful KEMACO a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, KEMACO thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. I’m sure there have been days where the challenges of being an artist or creative force you to think about what it would be like to just have a regular job. When’s the last time you felt that way? Did you have any insights from the experience?
Happiness is sometimes finding the bright side of a cloudy day. As a creative, consistency is hard to come by. Pleasing fans within my own terms is what keeps me going. Whenever A new ear gets turned on to my music, I hope that they can’t stop diving in, because to the reader, I promise, It’s deeper than the surface and the story continues.
KEMACO, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I first started producing my own sound my first year of high school. I set standard goals for myself such as release dates, promotion campaigns, and essentially, Putting all that I could into everything I did. Nowadays, Music is constantly changing… I’ve found myself going back in time… and REALLY enclosing myself into the essence of the Late 1980’s, Because I didn’t know! Music back then was so raw and the scene of the industry was intertwined with the Movies and the Couture… Everything back then was so intimate though I feel there wasn’t true love or we wouldn’t be here. Furthermore I suppose I’m here to bring the Past & the Present together for a common goal… Not only within music… But in a global zense.
In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
What can society do to best support Artists, Its to just love them for who they are. In the end, its all a reflection of You.
Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
Earlier in my creative journey , I wish I knew how important Money management is, Along with Time. 2 Extremely Important things that we can’t seem to get back.
