We were lucky to catch up with Kelvin Kwasin recently and have shared our conversation below.
Kelvin , appreciate you joining us today. Can you share a customer success story with us?
I worked for a pension company and a client had misplaced her ID card so she couldn’t come claim her funds and she called the office but they couldn’t find her ID. So there was one time she called and I happened to be the one to pick up then she explained her situation then I searched on the companies databases but it wasn’t there so I checked the dormant accounts and realised that was where she was placed then I retrieve all the information and made her come by the office the following week to proceed with her claims. It normally takes 2weeks to pay out clients claims so on the exact date I gave her was when she received her claims. Couple of days later she came by the office to thank me for the assistance because she had been trying to get her claims for some months and due to her missing ID she wasn’t allowed to proceed. That was how I put a smile on the old lady’s face.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am Kelvin Kwasin a young energetic Ghanaian who is an Entrepreneur, Data Analyst and an Artist Manager.
To start with how I became an Entrepreneur, I was 15yrs when I had the passion for import and online marketing and for several years I tried importing goods to sell but they never get delivered. It kept on for 3years but I never gave up then one day I fould an online store and decided to give importing a try again and it worked and I was able to make reasonable sales out of that. I reused the profits for more importation that was how I came about @kelvyns_tech hub but in a years time the account got hacked and I started a new one on Instagram @mayvins__accessories.
Secondly, becoming a Data analyst. I attended IPMC GHANA and graduated with a first class professional diploma in Database Technology, then over some months I apply for a few Data driven jobs and finally got an interview with a Pensions company and that was how I landed my first job which was on a contract basis.
Lastly, I completed my contract with a pension company and got in touch with my cousin who was a musician and we finally agreed on working together then I became her manager and we have been working smart and well that we have had a few performances in Ghana and Europe currently working on a tour also.
So, what I would say is just put in the work, learn to relax, pray and God will see you through it all.

Any advice for managing a team?
Always stay positive, be creative, work smart, understand the people around you and make them understand you even more, learn to take a break when needed to.
