We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kelsi Ward a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Kelsi, appreciate you joining us today. Do you wish you had started you own firm sooner?
If I could go back in time, I would have become a Realtor sooner rather than later.
Prior to real estate, I was involved in the industry as an investor primarily through fix and flips. I loved watching run down properties transform, and to create a place to call home for future owners. During that time I also used my passion for fitness to help people transform physically and mentally through my work as a personal trainer and lifestyle coach.
It took me a while to realize that what I’m truly passionate about is connecting people to the life of their dreams.
Now, as a real estate agent I’m able to help my clients through some of their largest financial investments, and help connect them to the life of their dreams in a BIG way!

Kelsi, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Kelsi Ward, I’m a wife, a mom to a firecracker of a child named Emma Grace, and a realtor. Naturally, I’m obsessed with spending all my free time playing and exploring with my little family.
Around 27 years old I fell in love with flipping real estate, right after having my daughter. I’ve always been on the “other side” of the business but one day I decided to go for it and become a licensed realtor!.
Right now, I spend most of my days studying the market, building out my systems, and creating a remarkable service— and I love every minute of it.
For me, what I do is more than just a job, it’s something I picture myself doing for years to come because it allows me to use my passion and pay it forward.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I always joke that God sent me an angel in realtor form.
I bought my first house and lived in it for just over six months when I got divorced.
I had no clue where to begin. I legitimately just picked up the phone, called a local real estate broker and said “I need to sell my house.”
I did zero homework, but they transferred me to an agent, who ended up helping me through my first fix and flips. We actually worked together for over five years on various transactions!
I learned a lot through that time. Now, I’m ready to pay it forward to clients of my own.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
Keeping in touch with my clients is actually one of my favorite parts about this business.
From phone calls, to notecards, to emails, or coffee dates… I love staying connected and being available to help them when they’re ready.
This year, I’ve set out to do something new which I’m calling “Coffee and Connections” whereby every week I can buy someone a cup of coffee and connect over great conversations. Just a few weeks into the year and I’ve been booked up, so I’m excited to see who I meet along this journey!
