Alright, Kelsey thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.

Writing my first book was something I really put my heart and soul into . I believe that it was something I had to share in order for me to heal . I literally wrote every word . It meant so much to me to the point that I was scared to actually release it . I always want my content to penetrate the hearts of my readers . I want to give them a glimpse and bring them along with me on my journey. My next book I’ll be taking them alittle bit deeper then the first book . I’m excited to share other part of me but always very nervous. It’s really a point of being vulnerable and allowing other people to see who I am . My writing gives me that power .

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

For those that don’t know me, who have never even read a book of mine . I am the author of the book called “I survived, My story on how I overcame” I already knew very young that I wanted to write a book on my life . I just knew that it was something I had to share . I was a natural born writer, started writing poetry and journaling .It was my outlet because I had so much going on at home and no one to tell. It grew into a love because I found out that with writing you can escape away from all your pain and that’s what I needed the most.

I want to be a voice to every reader, to let know that you don’t have to stay stuck in any situation that’s abusing you in any way. There is a strength in you to get up and walk away . And even when you walk away that it’s your responsibility to heal from any residue that was left behind. I was affected the moment I walked away, I didn’t know who I was or what I wanted in life . I had to figure it out and this is where it all starts.

I am still trying to get my feet wet as an author . I am working on book number two and I really want this one to be better the first . I also have many desires but I’m trying to take it one step at a time . Just know,you will be seeing more of me! I have been pushing behind the scenes in a few things and it’s honestly time for me come out . Please be on the lookout because it’s about to get serious real soon !!

Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?

Absolutely!! I really had to pull back and learn my craft, it’s really more then just publishing a book . I’m passionate about what I do so it makes me want to learn and grow in this craft. I have found social media to be a great teacher . If you friend the right people, join the right groups it’s a well of knowledge and also support. These places like tik tock and clubhouse I have found so much knowledge just by people sharing information to help a fellow buisness owner.. Entrepreneurship has really grown over the years and people are giving this knowledge away to help our fellow mates . I really appreciate the ones that are thriving to think of me to hand down the knowledge of wealth . It’s really a blessing and teaches you how to maneuver even in the midst of a pandemic. So thank you to you all for helping ya girl !

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most rewarding thing as being a creative is really painting the picture for my audience. It’s really giving your readers feelings . The moment they begin to read they begin to feel the emotions you are portraying. I think it’s a wonderful thing when you are able to guide them through a synopsis of your life or whatever picture you have created for them to see . I want to always leave them with something thought provoking and life changing. It’s always rewarding to hear their thoughts after reading, you never know who you are really speaking directly to .
