We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kelsey Hunt. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kelsey below.
Alright, Kelsey thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
Trulli is my mother’s maiden name and is also the name of a specific type of home built in the Puglia region of Italy, where my grandfather was from.
The original Trulli homes were built without mortar so that they could be taken down and moved quickly. They were a type of nomadic structure.
I chose to name my media company Trulli Media as a homage to my family and a reference to need to be nimble in one’s marketing efforts. You must adapt/change with shifting tides of what is working in the digital space.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m Kelsey Hunt. I help wellness, life, and business coaches scale their group coaching programs to 7-figures.
My mission is to help bring impactful coaching programs to millions of people, which is what we focus on at Trulli Media.
With 16 years of experience producing stories for some of the most popular soap operas in the country, I know a thing or two about the power of storytelling. These skills earned me two daytime Emmy awards by the age of 32.
I fell in love with Meta™ advertising and digital strategy when I started my own e-commerce business in 2014. In 2019, I sold my e-commerce business and dove headfirst into my digital agency – Trulli Media.
I started to niche down to online coaching programs organically and have developed a system that helps attract new leads to their communities and an accession model that helps them sell their high-ticket offers.
To date, we’ve sold over $4.1 million in online programs using the power of Facebook/Instagram Advertising and strategic landing page design.
Our clients experience an average return on ad spend investment of 525%.

We’d appreciate any insights you can share with us about selling a business.
Yes, I sold a natural deodorant company that I started in 2014. I developed and produced a deodorant line. I grew most of my income from that company from digital advertising.
I learned so much about business going from the idea phase to bringing it to market.
I did my best to record all processes in the business. I kept clear financial records, and recipes, and saved all marketing material.
That made the business super-sellable and easy to take over when I decided to sell.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I was a television producer for 16 years and produced Soap Operas in New York City.
When I was 8 months pregnant with my second son, the show I was working on was canceled.
Soap operas were fading at that time, and landing another producing job in that genre was not going to happen. One of the greatest perks of working in daytime television was the steady and predictable 9-6 workload. Work-life balance was possible!
Most production jobs are not that predictable. Hours are long, and you go to where the work is – lots of travel for weeks at a time. And the hours are long.
I knew if I wanted to be a present mom, I needed to pivot.
I ended up accepting a job at the University of Colorado. My husband and I moved our young family across the country, and we both started new careers at the age of 40.
Ignorance will make you brave! That was an incredibly hard transition but ultimately the best thing for both of us.
After several years, I knew higher-ed was not for me and made the leap to work for myself. My husband owned a small business, and leaving a secure job was one of the scariest moves I have ever made. But I believed we could make great things happen, and we did! And still are!
My husband and I both own our own businesses and get to be super present in our boys’ lives – they are now teenagers.
