We recently connected with Kelsey Beth and have shared our conversation below.

Kelsey , appreciate you joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?

Honestly, I resisted being a Sex and Intimacy Coach.

My thoughts ran rampant for many years,

“What will people think?”

“What will Dad say?!”

But I couldn’t escape it.

It was that little voice that kept whispering to me.

After a while though, the voice gets louder.

All of a sudden, something keeps screaming at me to look at and engage with, to help and support individuals liberate their sexuality.

Hold on, let’s back track for a second.

Why was I chosen to do this type of work?

I remember being a young teenager and having my friends come and talk to me about their sexual desires, escapades, and also sexual health issues.

I had some vaginal health issues growing up, which led me to be VERY comfortable talking about my vagina to doctors, specialists, friends, family members… you name it.

I also dabbled in different forms of sex work throughout my 20’s – I slept with rich older men for money, put on the latex and leather get up and was a dominatrix, I held people’s hearts in Tantric sacred sexuality ceremonies…

…each experience lead me closer to understanding how easy it was (and is) for me to engage with and talk about sex without judgment.

I mean, let’s face it. We don’t yet live in a world where we’re taught to engage with sexuality in a loving and compassionate way.

Sex is all over the place in advertisements and media, and yet it’s totally a taboo subject to talk about at the dinner table.
What a gift it’s been to be a safe space for people to connect better with their sex.

Let’s go back to what I was saying in the earlier sentences, how I totally resisted this work for a while… how did I get out of that and fully embrace my path?

Two words: patience and consistency.

That little voice, the whisper that kept getting louder.

I couldn’t NOT listen to that little voice.

I think everyone has a little voice that gets louder the more you engage with it.

My suggestion to everyone on this planet is to engage with their unique little voice, stop caring what people think, and do you boo boo.

Because wow, if I look back and think about what my life would be if I hadn’t listened to that voice…

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

The problem I solve for my clients varies honestly, but if I had to put it into one sentence it’d be this:

I help people feel more alive in their body, mind, and spirit.

Because that’s what sexual energy is, aliveness.

To feel alive.

Most people don’t feel, period. They repress their emotions and neglect one of the most important aspects of being human – to feel.

Feeling and expressing oneself is imperative in diving deeper into intimacy. Every single one of my clients comes to me because they’re feeling repressed in one way or another.

They know there’s something more to life but don’t know what or how to do it.

I help my clients define what sexual liberation means for them so they can experience it first hand.

I’m sure you’ve met someone who is full of energy before, that’s a person who is alive in their body, who is confident in themselves. Who is full of sexual energy.

Sex is how we come onto Earth, it’s an activity between two people that creates human life. There’s no other way to come to Earth.

Over the past thousands of years we’ve gotten a little side tracked in thinking this is a dirty or shameful act.

This, my loves, is the most sacred act there is!

And just to be clear, I’m not JUST referring to insert slot A into slot B penetration type sex.

I’m talking about the energy of sexuality.

I help people engage with the energy of sexuality so they can live a life of more aliveness.

Can you share one of your favorite marketing or sales stories?

One of my favorite marketing strategies happened completely on accident, dressed up for a Halloween party as a penis.

Yep, that’s right. I dressed up as a penis to a Halloween party.

What did I wear?

I wore a full nude bodysuit, you know the ones where your head pokes through? I wore that with a light pink turban to look like the head, and a neck brace underneath to give it some girth.

Why did I choose that as my costume?

Honestly, I’m not 100% sure. But I just went with the little voice in my head that told me to do so.

Also, I love the genitals, I talk about them all the time. I help people love and connect with their genitals. I figured, why not. Could be fun.

Would you believe a couple weeks after Halloween someone from the party reached out to me wanting to work with me?

Hallelujah, what an experience that was.

This whole Halloween penis costume experience showed me all I gotta keep doing is listen to that little voice and be me.

If I can dress up as a literal penis and get a client? Damn. There’s nothing that’ll stop me now.

And people LOVED it at the party!

People were rubbing my shaft, I was holding women as they talked to me about their sexual traumas, men opened up about their own relationships to their penis.

I think also… my business is sooo much more than just a business. It’s a mission. I live and breathe this work.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

Being yourself and going with what feels good, stop worrying about the end game. Enjoy the f*ck out of the process.

And again, patience and consistency.

Late last year, I remember having a conversation with a friend of mine. We were discussing our businesses, reflecting on 2022 and what we could improve on for next year, and I said one of the most profound things I’ve ever said.

I said something I’ve been praying for years over.

I said, “I feel like I haven’t worked a day this year and I’ve more than doubled my business.”

Um… holy smokes. Did I REALLY just say that?

For years I’ve been working towards creating a business that is so full of joy, it doesn’t feel like work.

Of course there’s some of the admin stuff I don’t enjoy, but it never feels like a chore because I know it’s all working towards my main mission.

As cliche as it may sound, figure out how to do what you love each and everyday and you’ll never have to work a day in your life.
