We were lucky to catch up with Kellyann Alvarez recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Kellyann thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
Success can mean different things for different people. One thing I know for certain is that, regardless of what it means, it will never come without discipline and effort. For me, being successful is offering products that make an impact and exceed client expectations.
But what did it take to get here? It took endless nights at the office, a lot of trial and error, overcoming my fears of failing, and always aiming to provide excellent customer service.
Perhaps the most important have been flexibility and adaptability to meet clients’ requests without losing sight of the company mission. After all, learning from my clients’ requests is how my business has evolved.
Kellyann, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Kreative Kreations by KK, based in Orlando, FL, provides clients with a uniquely customized vacation experience by creating magical in-room celebrations. We decorate our guests’ resort rooms or deliver personalized baskets, all tailored to each guest’s favorite characters or themes. Our ultimate goal is to create unforgettable memories to complement the amazing vacation experience!
Have you ever had to pivot?
Our company started out offering epoxy items and crafts. One day, we received an unexpected request from a travel agent to make a snack basket for a client. Although it was not part of our current offerings, we decided to learn a new skill and met the challenge. Sometime later, a request for another new service: to do a door decoration at a resort. And we adapted again. We began receiving more and more requests for our new services and the rest is history. Listening to our customers’ needs was not only a pivot, but the pivot that changed the entire trajectory of our business and continues to promote its growth.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I would say that maintaining the quality of our product and providing excellent customer service have been key to grow our social media following. Our audience has grown organically by our customers’ positive reviews and recommending our services. As of today, we have over 10,000 followers on our Facebook page in less than three years and continue to grow!
