Kelly, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Picnic Party Cleveland was born out of the love of community. The most special relationships are largely built around a table: a first date, a Christmas dinner, a kitchen counter. When our world looks different, uncertain, and scary, I come back to the basic elements of human connection: our people, some good food, and the ability to be present with each other. I hope that Picnic Party Cleveland can play a small part in the connection with your people.
We are here for small gatherings & big memories.
We think that there is something so special about quality time with your loved ones. One of my first dates was a picnic with my husband. He borrowed a picnic basket from his family & brought it out to the camp we worked at together. We only had a short amount of time to sit down together, but he made the experience memorable. thoughtful & loving amidst a hectic day. We hope we can provide the same feeling to others as well.

Picnic Party Cleveland is luxury pop-up picnic business, made for groups of 2 – 25 to celebrate & enjoy time together. We coordinate everything from engagements, date nights, bachelorette parties, baby showers, and more! We launched Picnic Party Cleveland in 2021 & have grown to a team of 4. We have a variety of different themes, including Simply Sweet, Boho, Secret Garden, and can customize based on your preference. We love coming up with new & creative designs!
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
We used social media to find new clients. We have also found that word-of-mouth is such a big part of building our customer base! Making connections with people & creating those relationships are the best way to spread the word about what we do.
Have you ever had to pivot?
I needed to pivot when I learned my niche in the market. When I started, I assumed I would be mainly hosting date nights. I have found that people are really looking for a mid-sized party experience, for bachelorettes & showers. There isn’t a lot on the market for parties of this size, and we fit in really well to fill that gap! I needed to adjust my inventory & team to be able to handle the larger party requests, and am so grateful I did.
