We were lucky to catch up with Kelly Tallaksen recently and have shared our conversation below.
Kelly, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
My mission is to bring more awareness about intergenerational trauma and the ways we can heal this ongoing crisis so we can release ourselves from the trap of unworthiness and start loving ourselves authentically. In my healing and transformation, I was able to observe my patterns of behavior that stem from childhood trauma. As I continued to observe myself, I began to observe the behavioral patterns of my parents and the reasons behind these negative patterns. This led me to realize that so many of us are trapped in deep feelings of unworthiness that sit below our conscious awareness but negatively affect how we see ourselves and the world. This negativity then gets poured into others as we try to release the pain from the depths of our souls. It is not done consciously because it stems from the pain in the unconscious mind.
Once we understand and accept that our pain is residual pain from our ancestors that will continue to affect us and others on an unconscious level until we release those feelings of unworthiness with self-love, we can then make the shift toward healing our wounds and accepting others as they are because they are not in alignment with self-love. It is difficult to love ourselves if we believe we are not worthy of love from our parents or other primary caregivers. This inability to see our true value blocks the healing process. With a higher understanding of human consciousness and its effect on our soul’s journey, we can release our ancestors from the responsibility to make us feel whole, along with the knowing that they were not capable of doing better due to their feelings of unworthiness, we can find authentic forgiveness, take back our inner power and give ourselves the love and support we craved as children,
Kelly, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I wanted to heal my childhood and learn more about how the mind works. I have read several books on healing past trauma, which led me to realize that most of it comes from a disconnect from love during our childhood years, which put me into survival mode. Being in survival mode causes us to get stuck in unhealthy behavioral patterns. This then led me to understand more about the unconscious mind, survival patterns, and the need to feel loved and accepted in the world in order to thrive. To learn about the mind, I studied hypnotism, the fastest way to access the unconscious mind.
As a hypnotist, I was able to tap into the thoughts within my unconscious mind and the emotions attached to them that kept me from seeing my value as a human living with emotional challenges. I also studied metaphysical sciences to learn more about higher levels of consciousness. I have been a certified hypnotist for 15 years and have helped so many people heal childhood wounding that keeps them from loving themselves and cause them to repeat their old survival patterns to feel safe in the world. I obtained my Doctorate Degree in Metaphysical Hypnosis and a PhD in Holistic Life Counseling so I could help my clients see the bigger picture around their lives and help them heal the pain that holds them back from living like the true miracle of divine consciousness that they are. The reason I use hypnosis with my clients is to gain access to their unconscious minds so they can heal on a deeper level. Otherwise, the protective walls they put up around their painful memories will keep haunting them and driving them toward destructive patterns of behavior.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I built my reputation by always remaining non-judgmental and compassionate with all my clients. No matter what they told me about their patterns of behavior, I still saw them as perfect beings with emotional challenges that were difficult for them to manage. I believe we all want to be in a place of self-acceptance. I have great love and compassion for most people, and I want to help them see themselves the way I see them.
I share lots of information to help people understand that there are difficult parts of them actively operating within their unconscious mind and provide tools to help them heal the parts of them that are in self-rejection, including free YouTube videos on understanding human consciousness and meditations to help people tap into the unconscious mind for inner healing.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
As someone who grew up in a broken home filled with financial and emotional stress, there were times that I wanted to give up on life, but somehow, I found the strength to fight through the pain of the past and seek out a future that would give me back my peace and financial freedom. I always kept the faith and stayed determined to reach my goals, even when they seemed difficult. I think it’s important to never give up because when we persevere even through the difficult times, we most likely will reach our goals.
