We recently connected with Kelly Flynn and have shared our conversation below.
Kelly, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Innovation comes in all shapes, sizes and across all industries, so we’d love to hear about something you’ve done that you feel was particularly innovative.
Switching my career at mid-age to become a Realtor and take on new challenges of helping people find creative solutions to home ownership!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Ever since I was a kid, I have always thought of myself as an entrepreneur at heart. Started in the 4th grade, trying to sell pencils to other kids who forgot them for math class, or that time I set up my baseball card collection on the neighborhood sidewalk attempting to sell them to anyone who might walk by!
Eventually came college, I switched my degree probably 3-4 times! Not the smartest decision I have ever made, but I realized I loved learning and being an artist…of many things! Started off as an interior design major, and slowly realized I liked the photo/graphic arts/print industry more. Short story, after a long journey, I graduated with a Master’s of Fine Arts degree. From there, I started my own screen printing/photography company named HEN LAYING EGG in 2011. I loved being able to print with inks by hand and creating apparel designs that people loved to wear. I realized how important it was to have a client with a quality product that genuinely produced smiles; whether that was though the clothing they were proud to wear or the photographs that had them excited to show others. I love being creative, it is at the sole of who I am down to the core!
Fast forward 10 years later…..I choose to embark on a new journey and challenge to master! One that I was not sure of how to navigate, but knew if I followed though the hurdles of ups and downs, I could make it. I choose to combine all of my passions into one – being a Realtor, designer and photographer! After interviewing with a couple of brokerages, I settled in at Jane Byrd Properties International, loved her energy! Eventually, I teamed up with The Real Tea Group under the JBPI brokerage and it has been a wonderful growth experience!
This has been an amazing journey of self discovery and how I can add value everyday to people’s lives though the art of authentically servicing my clients best interest in finding a home they can smile about everyday! Home should be the creative space to be you!
Not only do I have the opportunity of being of service to the community through home ownership, I also get to still provide a value to people though my artistic skills with photography and other media!
I truly enjoy what I do – and that is to create smiles!! Home means nothing without YOU!

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Being honest, straight forward, transparent, authentic and hard working for your clients! They will build your future going forward with referrals in addition to their own home needs whether through upsizing or downsizing as their life goes forward.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I make daily attempts to reach out to people who have viewed homes on our website, or who call for other real estate needs such as photography. Try and socialize at different events to meet new people who have similar interests. Always try to answer your phone, you never know who will be on the other end!
