Kelly , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you share a customer success story with us?
One memorable experience that stands out is helping a client who has been struggling with severe acne for years. Her condition worsened after she stopped taking birth control, and she also had a history of endometriosis, which added to her skin challenges. She came to me feeling frustrated and disheartened by her persistent acne.
Given my own struggles with acne as a teenager, I felt a deep personal connection to her situation. I knew firsthand how impactful clear skin can be on one’s self-esteem and overall well-being. She placed her trust in me and enrolled in my Acne Bootcamp program.
We began with a thorough consultation to understand her skin type, acne triggers, and medical background. I designed a customized treatment plan that included specific topical treatments, dietary recommendations, and lifestyle changes to address her unique needs. Consistent communication was key—we regularly checked in to monitor her progress and make necessary adjustments.
Over time, we started to see significant improvements. Her skin began to clear up as we continued the program, her acne was well-managed, and her skin looked healthier than ever. She expressed immense happiness and confidence, something she hadn’t felt in years.
This experience was particularly rewarding for me. Not only did I help someone achieve closer to their ideal skincare goals, but it also reminded me of my own journey and why I am passionate about what I do. Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’ve always been passionate about aesthetics. Originally trained in Canada for cosmetology, I moved to California, but my education wasn’t recognized there. So, I ventured into banking for 12 years before transitioning to health and wellness as a personal trainer. After becoming board-certified as a Health & Wellness Coach, I worked in a med spa, where I fell in love with skincare. I pursued further education to become a licensed aesthetician, focusing on the interconnectedness of internal and external health, like the skin-gut axis.
My journey took a unique turn when I saw a video of a mobile barber and was inspired to offer mobile aesthetic services. My husband and I spent 2 years building a Mercedes van into a mobile spa, and in May 2023, I launched as the only mobile aesthetician in my area. My expertise, multiple certifications, and, most importantly, my deep care for each client sets me apart. I prioritize personalized service, taking the time to understand each client’s needs and provide exceptional care right at their doorstep.


What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been building strong, personal relationships with my clients. I dedicate time to truly understanding each client’s skin, habits, and needs, treating their skin with the same care I would my own. This personalized approach shows my clients that I genuinely care about their well-being. As the saying goes, “People don’t care what you know until they know how much you care.” Consistently following up with clients after their services to ensure they are happy and well taken care of has led to numerous referrals, significantly expanding my client base. This level of commitment and care has been the cornerstone of my success in growing my clientele.


Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
The journey of starting my mobile practice is one story that truly illustrates my resiliency. Inspired by the mobile barber, I took a leap of faith to launch my mobile medical aesthetics practice. I purchased a Mercedes Sprinter van, although I knew little about the intricacies of building and operating a mobile spa.
The process was far more challenging than anticipated. My husband and I initially thought the build would take less than six months, but it took longer than envisioned. We faced numerous setbacks, including supply shortages due to the pandemic, time constraints from our full-time jobs, weather delays, and other unexpected obstacles. Each challenge required extensive planning and additional time, testing our determination and patience.
Despite moments of doubt, we persevered. Today, I am proud to be the only medical aesthetician in my area offering mobile services from a spa on wheels. Fast forward a year into the business, and my dreams continue to become my reality. This journey has taught me the true meaning of resilience and the importance of unwavering commitment to one’s vision.
