We were lucky to catch up with Kelly Anderson recently and have shared our conversation below.
Kelly , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. One of the most important things we can do as business owners is ensure that our customers feel appreciated. What’s something you’ve done or seen a business owner do to help a customer feel valued?
I have a loyalty program, where my customers can earn points and save just for shopping with us. We give points for birthdays. referrals and shopping. You can save up to $20 per order transaction.

I stared in August 2018; we have been in business for 4 years. We have also mentored other up and coming boutique business with one-on-one consulations, eBooks and Books.
My love for fashion began when I was a young girl. I grew up watching my grandmother take so much pride in the way she dressed each day that it inspired me to want to do the same. My grandmother would purchase a new dress and matching hat each week to wear every Sunday, and I would always call her the “best dressed lady in church”. I thought she was such a diva and fashionista, and I wanted to be just like her when I grew up.
Now, my daughters watch me get dressed each day, just as I watched my grandmother. My daughters, Justyce and Liberty, are my two biggest supporters. So much so that I chose to name my boutique, Two Pretty Girlz, after them. I always ask for their opinion on my looks, and I know I can count on them to tell me if my look is on point that day or if I need to change.
This boutique has been a decade in the making and finally opening it is a dream come true for me. Two Pretty Girlz Boutique aims to provide the more established woman with a wide selection of pieces to choose from for all occasions. Whether you’re needing an outfit to grab lunch with friends, take a trip, or go out on a date, our boutique has just the thing for you.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
We are currently in an inflation, and it’s been hard, but with my passion and resilience we are determined to stay afloat and keep being in business.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
With the current inflation, I have had to scale back on my inventory and restyle many of my old inventory pieces.
