Kelly, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

It all started September of 2018. My husband and I sold our companies.

There I was laying on the ground in a fetal position crying out “is this as good as it gets”. I was soul tired. My husband and I had spent the last 12 years building two companies. And this is the story of being a public success and a private failure.

Building a business is hard but what comes with it is societal pressure to work hard, sell more, make more, do more, be more so that’s what I did. We worked hard, had the two story home with the white picket fence 2.5 kids ( but we had 3 lol) bought 2 cars the same day all the things that we strive for to be validated and fulfilled. However the lesson is when you’re chasing money your still in misery.

So, when we sold the businesses I had the most money I had every had in my life and was the most soul tired and lost I had ever been in my life. I had tunnel vison while building our empire. But…what happens with tunnel vision is you forget about all the reasons why you started your business, freedom, family, fun.

When we sold Ace we also sold our home and everything we owned and relocated to Florida. But… it was in the early morning moment when I looked out our master bedroom window and looked at the 20 yard dumpster in our drive way full of everything we worked so hard for that gave me the real reality check.

It was like a movie of the the gatherings I said no to, meals missed with family, late nights hubby had to work, the kiddos events missed and relationships that had slowly fallen away in search of external validation and success that gave me the biggest reality check.

Back to the fetal position moment which unfolded after the reality check. I realized I was a public success and a private failure. Marriage was difficult, kids seemed to be struggling, we had been running a fast paced life keeping up with the Jones’s.

In my darkness I found light. I realized there has to be another way a better way to live. A more balanced way where money was a bonus and peace and joy filled our days.

Money makes life easier but at what expense.

When we relocated to FL I was still on a journey of “UNBECOMING” unbecoming who I thought I had to be. If you are used to validation at work and work stops, (business slows slows, no one is signing with you…) its a reality check. Who am I if I am not Kelly at Ace Party Rental.

So, in a nutshell (bc I don’t know how long this should be lol)

I spent the first decade and a half building our business making mistakes and learning and I have spent the last 4 years building others peoples businesses alongside them and showing them how to live a LIMITLESS LIFE one of BALANCE, BANK, and PEACE.

It’s sexy, its epic and its available to anyone. A lot of my work with entrepreneurs and organizations is around the subconscious and rewiring old patterns that are no longer serving you.

The real work as an entrepreneur is staying self love strong. And every individual I have the opportunity to link arms worth knows their self worth is more important than their net worth. BUT they get to have both.

Any advice for managing a team?

Create an atmosphere where it is safe to been seen and heard. Money is safe with you or your organization when you are safe with you. xx
