Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kellie Smalls. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Kellie, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Getting that first client is always an exciting milestone. Can you talk to us about how you got your first customer who wasn’t a friend, family, or acquaintance?

My first klient that was completely organic found my page on Facebook. Back in 2016, I had just completed my website and Facebook page. Up to this point, I really only had familiar faces who were invited or connected through my main page. When I received the message on Facebook he stated that he had seen my page and was curious about what I do. One of the first services I offered was the Kourtesy Konsultation. I offered this to him, so that he could decide if my insight would be helpful to him or not. At this point, I was just happy to have someone who was interested. I wasn’t focused on money in this moment only utilizing my gifts. I had him email me his information and the question he wanted clarity on. He emailed me and I was able to look into his situation and provide the best advice that I could. I emailed him back and waited on the response. I was a little nervous waiting to hear back because I had no idea how he would receive and process the information. Luckily, he responded back and was pleased with my findings. After this he wanted to find out more, and since this was my first real customer, I didn’t have an idea of what to charge. The first price that came to mind was $20! From there the transaction was made and I completed a birth chart analysis for him. We kept in touch for a while and shortly after that a female reached out on Facebook too. What is interesting is that both of them were in a different country -and they randomly found me. I guess it set the tone, because now a lot of my klients are outside of the country.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I’m born an raised in Charleston SC back in the 80’s. This beautiful city is home to so much history, and this history played a part in me discovering my gifts and ultimately starting my business. One of my first paranormal experiences was in the historic district when I was on a field trip in first grade. We toured the old historic jail and there was a lot of spooky energy there. When I asked my classmate if she heard or saw the things I did, I found out very quickly that not everyone experienced the same reality. When I got older, I had many experiences that I kept to myself from fear of judgement. In my 20’s, I worked overnight shift at a hotel and I was exposed to more paranormal encounters. Only this time, I had others who were witnesses! Since then, I have been on a quest for knowledge in metaphysical and paranormal modalities. While in Charleston, I found that many people were curious about these things, but many were also afraid to explore the possibilities. Some of the services that are provided are chart analysis, energy healing and readings. I started Kosmick (Klass A) Konnection when I moved to Atlanta. I knew in this huge metropolitan area, there was more visibility and acceptance of these services. What sets us apart from other konsulting firms is that we use intuitive approaches to life. By tapping in more with our higher selves, we have a better understanding of the circumstances that we may face on a daily basis.
I am most proud of my klients who have succesfully become more mindful, and have begun to see changes in their personal lives and career. I also keep up with my klients with regular emails and kosmick updates. Let us help you Get In Touch with You!!

We’d really appreciate if you could talk to us about how you figured out the manufacturing process.

Last summer was my first candle making class, and I got the notion to start making and selling candles. Most people enjoy the scented candles from our favorite retailers; however alot of these candles have harmful chemicals in them. Kosmick Kandles are all handmade with 100% organic soy or coconut wax, essential oils and premium fragrances. Our wax is delivered regularly, and our premium fragrances are from a local supplier, Peach State Candle Supply in McDonough. One of the tips I learned along the way was to give kustomers the option to design or kustomize their own kandles. With Kustom Kandles, they can pick everything themselves, even the wick. Enhancements are also offered and they include kosmick konfetti, flower essence, or hypnotic hues. Seasonal scents are usually a hit and people are already placing their orders for fall and Christmas kandles. Many klients design their own, but others allow me to intuitively pick what scents will work best for them.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

The best source for me is online via website or social media. I dont have a big following at all, but I’ve noticed that the website is attracting new viewers monthly. I have recently started to get more active online, and I see that consistency and engaging is key. Initially Facebook was my go to, because I could go from my personal page to my business page easily. More recently their processes have become more tedious and I have switched more to TikTok and YouTube. One way that I gain exposure is by posting video shorts and going live with updates or intuitive messages . This is helpful in raising awareness about metaphysics and steering potential subscribers and klients over to the website to learn more.

I have seen that in this field there are a lot of imitators or people that prey on others who are curious. This leads to fake pages or outright scams for those who initially went in trusting. It is very unfortunate, as it is already hard to open up to someone online. As mentioned previously, I still offer kourtesy konsultations and free Q and A online to display my range of skills without attaching a price tag.

Once there is that initial energy exchange, both the klient and I have a chance to see if we konnect well with each other.
