Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Keith Thompson . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Keith, appreciate you joining us today. Almost all entrepreneurs have had to decide whether to start now or later? There are always pros and cons for waiting and so we’d love to hear what you think about your decision in retrospect. If you could go back in time, would you have started your business sooner, later or at the exact time you started?
Wow, great question. Yes I wish I would have started my business sooner. Only because I see how well my business is doing now, imagine how well it could have been doing when I was 24 years old. I was definitely moving way better back then than I am now.
I started my business at the age of 26. I was already an athletic director at the time. And this was also the same year covid-19 happened. Unfortunately I had gotten let go from my position due to covid. With all the free time I had, I decided training. But I wanted my trainings to be different. That’s when I started doing speed and agility training. The athletes call me coach Keith but I’m not a coach. I am a trainer.

Keith, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Keith Thompson 28 years old and I am a speed and agility trainer, Sprint coach, football trainer. I played football & track and field both at high levels.
I started Flex Speed because I genuinely felt like I could make a difference in helping young athletes develop proper skills to excel at their sport. Growing up I never had a trainer to help me with my skills and techniques. I had to learn on my own. Most athletes my age understand. Now this generation has so many resources to become great at their sport. I want to be one of those resources for young athletes.
I am most proud of is myself. Seeing your business grow from nothing into something such a blessing
How did you build your audience on social media?
I started with just being consistent. I kept posting on my regular routine and then boom, one of my video’s went viral. I kept posting still.
The advice I want to give is to keep posting. Someone is always watching.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
The best thing that helped me a social media.
