We were lucky to catch up with Keith Clark recently and have shared our conversation below.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

With the stresses of everyday life, it is very important to take care of one’s self externally and internally. My goal is to assist every client that I come in contact with towards the path to healing, relaxation and rejuvenation. This will allow you to maximize your body’s potential and function. Whether you are seeking relief from the stresses of life, overworked and fatigued muscles or chronic pain, you will leave feeling Renewed, Restored, Recharged………. REVIVIFIED!

I have, and continually, study under some of the best therapist instructors in the world. As a former dance instructor, choreographer and dancer, I am very in tune with athletic individuals and those who place a lot of physical demands on their bodies. Massage therapy has helped me over many years to maintain a level of physicality, mental clarity and a healthy lifestyle that has allowed me to function at my best each and everyday. Being a recreational athlete and professional dancer, I have witnessed and experienced the negative effects on myself and others who do not allow the body the proper rest and attention that it needs. The results are always injuries, short and long term, chronic pain and decrease in production and performance.

I notice the increase of individuals who do not realize the benefits of regular massages, thus they are becoming too dependent on pharmaceuticals to mask the root cause of their issues or walking around wearing their pain like a “badge of honor.”. The Keith Clark Collection, was birthed from Revivify. I started introducing aromatherapy into the massage sessions. Using lotions, butters, natural plant and fruit essences, clients began to inquire about the various “scents” that were being used to relax, provide relief, rejuvenate and inspire them mentally, physically and emotionally. Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils and natural aromatic botanicals for psychological and physical well being. The very first product I created was my all natural pain relief balm and now Keith Clark Collection ranges from pain relief balm to body butters, body oils, body washes. Also, scents for your home or office space range from candles to wax melts to incense cones.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

The abilities, gifts and talents that God has endowed me with, I have maintained good stewardship over them. I am a man of faith, action, integrity and honesty. I put in the work behind the scenes to be as effective at all of my crafts. My work and products speak for themselves. If I am not comfortable or sure about something, I do not move forward or release it until I know that I am confident in my ability to stand behind it 150%. This takes a lot of prayer and conversation with the Holy Spirit, obedience, honesty with self, knowing my strengths and weaknesses, researching demographics, seeking a way to be different from the norm, processing feedback (good and bad) and continually educating myself about matters in the industries that I am apart of.

We’d really appreciate if you could talk to us about how you figured out the manufacturing process./

The products available in the Keith Clark Collection are made and created by me. It started with me blending various scents and diffusing them in my massage office to allow people to relax, focus, calm down and at the very least, disregard what stressors they have in life(mentally, physically, emotionally), momentarily for the duration of their massage session. The clients constantly talked about the atmosphere of the office and how they automatically felt relieved walking in the door, as first time clients and to this day, repeat clients. I then began to look for an alternative to the lotion I was using on the clients during the massage. Many body care products are ladened with chemicals that disrupt hormones, are not beneficial to our skin or bodies and in the long run, may present us with health issues. I began making a pain relief balm and body butters to use during the sessions on the clients and incorporating the “scents” I had diffusing into the air, into the products for a little transdermal effect.

Clients asked if I sold what I was using on them because they noticed the improvement in their demeanor and their skin issues, if they had any. After months of asking, I eventually went down the rabbit hole of how I would want my products to be. 2.5-3 years of researching ingredients. 2.5-3 years of trial and error. 2.5-3 years of money spent perfecting Keith Clark Collection.

Once I found out what worked for me and what people liked, I have been running with the products in the Keith Clark Collection ever since. As I stated above, all products are made by me and created by me. I love working with my hands, so it’s no issue for me. I have my processes down to a “tee”. Producing the products for Keith Clark Collection allows me a break from massage therapy and vice versa. Keith Clark Collection will be 7 years old this upcoming October.
