We were lucky to catch up with Keisha Tessa recently and have shared our conversation below.
Keisha Tessa, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
I started BOHATY from a very personal place. I always loved beauty and skincare, but I wanted to create something that felt intentional, elevated, and aligned with who I am. I noticed that a lot of products in the industry focused heavily on trends or quick marketing, and I wanted BOHATY to feel timeless, luxurious, and meaningful while still being mindful about ingredients and formulation.
The idea started with research and vision. I spent time learning about skincare ingredients, packaging, branding, manufacturing, and what it truly takes to build a business from the ground up. I did not want to rush the process just to launch quickly. I wanted every detail, from the formulas to the aesthetic, to feel refined and intentional.
One of the biggest steps was moving from just having ideas in my head to actually taking action. That meant creating the LLC, building the website, sourcing vendors, developing products, testing branding concepts, and learning how to navigate an industry that is extremely competitive. There were many moments where I had to figure things out on my own, but I stayed committed to learning and improving.
Faith also played a major role throughout the process. Building a brand requires patience, discipline, resilience, and belief in your vision even before other people fully understand it. There were challenges, delays, and moments of uncertainty, but I continued building because I believed BOHATY was meant to become more than just skincare. I wanted it to represent confidence, intentionality, self-care, and elevated living.
Today, I still see BOHATY as something that is continuously evolving. The journey from idea to execution taught me that building a brand is not just about launching products it is about creating an experience, a message, and a long term vision that people can genuinely connect with.

Keisha Tessa, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Keisha Tessa, and I am the founder of BOHATY, a luxury skincare brand built around intentionality, confidence, and elevated self care. I created BOHATY with the vision of blending luxury aesthetics with thoughtful formulations and meaningful branding. For me, beauty has never only been about appearance it is about how we care for ourselves, how we see ourselves, and the confidence that comes from feeling aligned inside and out.
I have always been drawn to beauty, branding, fashion, and creativity, but I wanted to approach skincare differently. I noticed that many brands focused heavily on trends, quick marketing, or unrealistic beauty standards. With BOHATY, I wanted to create something that felt refined, timeless, and authentic while still being mindful about ingredients and the overall experience.
BOHATY specializes in luxury skincare products designed to support healthy, radiant-looking skin while creating a high-end experience through every detail from the packaging and visuals to the messaging and product experience itself. Some of our products include cleansers, serums, exfoliating treatments, and skin essentials designed to help people feel confident and intentional in their skincare routines.
What sets BOHATY apart is the balance between luxury and purpose. I wanted the brand to feel elevated without losing authenticity. I care deeply about presentation, branding, formulation, and creating products that people genuinely enjoy incorporating into their lifestyle. I also believe there is something powerful about slowing down and caring for yourself intentionally, especially in a world that moves so fast.
Faith has also been a major part of my journey as an entrepreneur. My relationship with God has helped shape the way I approach business, discipline, creativity, and resilience. Building a brand from the ground up comes with challenges, uncertainty, and moments where you have to keep believing in your vision before the results fully show up. That mindset has helped me stay committed to the long-term vision for BOHATY.
One of the things I am most proud of is continuing to build something meaningful with intention rather than rushing the process for quick success. Every step of the journey has taught me more about leadership, branding, business, and perseverance. BOHATY is still growing and evolving, but my goal has always remained the same: to create a brand that represents elegance, confidence, intentional living, and elevated beauty in a genuine way.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Building BOHATY has been one of the most rewarding but also one of the most stretching experiences of my life. One thing entrepreneurship teaches you very quickly is resilience. There are moments where things move slower than expected, where you question yourself, where you invest into your vision before seeing the return, and where you have to keep showing up even when nobody fully sees the bigger picture yet.
One of the biggest lessons for me was learning how to keep building even during seasons where I did not yet have all the validation or results I envisioned. In today’s world, people often only celebrate the finished product, but they do not always see the discipline, faith, sacrifice, and consistency required behind the scenes.
There were times where I had to wear multiple hats at once handling branding, product development, creative direction, marketing, content creation, networking, and learning the business side all at the same time. Instead of allowing pressure to stop me, I used those moments to become sharper, more intentional, and more focused on building something meaningful long-term.
I also learned that resilience is not just about pushing harder sometimes it is about remaining grounded, trusting your vision, and continuing to move forward even when growth is taking time. My faith played a huge role in helping me stay disciplined and emotionally grounded throughout the journey.
Looking back, I am proud that I stayed committed to building BOHATY with intention instead of rushing the process for quick success. Every challenge strengthened my vision and helped shape not only the brand, but also the woman and entrepreneur I am becoming.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I believe what helped me begin building a reputation within my market is staying intentional about the experience and identity behind the brand. From the beginning, I never wanted BOHATY to feel rushed, trendy, or overly manufactured. I wanted it to feel elevated, thoughtful, and authentic.
A big part of that came from focusing not only on the products themselves, but also on the overall presentation, branding, messaging, and emotional connection people feel when they encounter the brand. I pay attention to details because luxury is not only about price it is about experience, consistency, trust, and how something makes people feel.
Social media and visual storytelling also played a major role. I understood early on that strong branding matters, especially in beauty and luxury spaces. I spent time developing a visual identity that reflected elegance, confidence, and refinement while still staying true to myself and my values.
Another thing that helped me was remaining authentic to my journey. I never wanted to create a brand built around pretending to be something I am not. I openly speak about faith, intentional living, discipline, and long-term vision because those things genuinely shaped the way I built BOHATY.
I think people connect with authenticity and passion. Even while the brand continues to grow, I want BOHATY to always feel personal, elevated, and rooted in purpose rather than simply following trends.
