Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Keisha Harp. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Keisha, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Taking care of customers isn’t just good business – it is often one of the main reasons folks went into business in the first place. So, we’d love to get a conversation going around how to best help clients feel appreciated – maybe you can share something you’ve done or seen someone do that’s been really effective at helping a customer feel valued?
The best thing I do to show my clients I appreciate them is by featuring them on my business pages via social media. The feature highlights some of their interests, a favorite motto or quote, a few selfies and their most liked Juspampered product.
They also receive free goodies for allowing me to feature them on my social media pages and website. The feedback has been phenomenal which lets me know that it is motivational and inspiring for both the customer and myself.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I founded this business after being laid off my corporate job in 2019. JusPampered was created to solve a problem that existed for my family and I. We all suffer from sensitive skin issues that have plagued our family for a long time. My 25 year old son inspired me to conduct research about his severe eczema and allergies—which had flared severely during the lay-off at my job. He was hospitalized for 3 days due to an infection. My heart was heavy because I felt helpless after having tried everything possible to prevent the flare ups from occurring as he was diagnosed with eczema when he was 9 months old. The doctors prescribed topical and oral steroids and advised he would grow out of it; however this wasn’t the case for us. His last hospitalization prompted me to research natural, holistic remedies which called for natural herbs, essential oils, carrier oils, Shea butter and natural soap.
I ordered books and watched YouTube videos on how to make natural skincare products and began testing on my son’s sensitive skin. We saw improvement immediately. Seeing the progress motivated me to make small batches to sell to others with sensitive skin conditions.
I started selling my handcrafted products at local vendor markets and pop-up shops. Presently, I am home-based with an e-commerce website and attend local pop-up shops and vendor markets.
I am proud to be a Skincare Activist for the voiceless who believe they have no other options when in comes to skincare for sensitive skin. I am passionate about what I do because of my own personal experiences and my goal is to help change someone’s life for the better.

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
I funded Juspampered using my own personal capital. Because I stayed with my company until the end after the lay-off, I received a retention bonus which allowed me to purchase wholesale ingredients and supplies to get started.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Juspampered was founded shortly before the pandemic which halted business and progress in 2020. Business was difficult with a shutdown and I was devastated because I took a risk by investing my personal money into a new business. I had to figure out how to market my business online via social media due to the lockdown. I purchased marketing courses and created content for my social media pages to attract people to the website. This helped my business tremendously by adding to my client base which included customers from all over the U.S.
