Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Keira Cronin. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Keira, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
In my experience, the root of being successful is knowing your “why.” Why do you do what you do? For me, success is about staying true to this purpose. It means remaining values-aligned and working with clients as collaborators. I entered the video production field to visually showcase energy, whether it’s the energy of an event, a brand, a story, or a product. My “why” is to help others tell their stories and to highlight the beauty of humanity and their innovations. As long as I follow this inner compass, I’ll consider myself successful.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’ve always loved cameras, ever since I was a kid. I started with my dad’s camcorder—the kind you had to load a whole VHS tape into—and later moved on to little digital cameras that held only 1 GB of footage, at most. I was always making music videos with my sisters or directing any video I could. As a teenager, it was skate videos and prank footage. I took photography throughout high school and had a knack for composition.
In my early working career, I hopped around from working at the post office to being the director of operations at an Airbnb management company. I felt unfulfilled because I wasn’t working in a creative field. So, I started taking photos again and filming my friends DJing. That’s when it hit me: “This is it. This is what I’m missing in my life and what I am meant to do.”
From there, a ripple effect of magic kicked in. I got a job working with someone who became my first mentor in the video field. I started filming opera, theater, nightlife, and brands. I dedicated my spare time to learning more about the craft by reading and watching anything I could find on the internet. That was seven years ago. Over these years, I’ve continued to hold that thirst for knowledge about video production, worked freelance, held retainer clients for fashion brands, and ultimately built my own production company with my partner: Deeper Impact Productions.
Deeper Impact Productions is rooted in my deep care for the planet, humanity, creativity, and uplifting voices. We aim to work with brands that share these values. We love partnering with brands that are disruptors in their industry—those that care about inclusivity, sustainability, and making a positive impact on the world through their legacy. Our services include full-scale video production, from concept to final cut, with a focus on visually showcasing the energy of events, brands, stories, and products. By aligning with clients who are passionate about sustainability, social justice, and care about the depth of the videos that they put out into the world. We create impactful content that resonates and inspires.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Every day is a reward honestly. I’m a social person at heart, and being a creative allows me to collaborate with so many different people and businesses. I recently worked on a project in collaboration with a small town, the town wanted us to highlight their businesses and this gave me the opportunity to meet over 30 businesses in 4 days. I got a brief peak into their passions and creativity and learned so many new things.
New experiences with equally passionate people is one of the most rewarding things in life. Wether you’re passionate about history, tech, refurbishing furniture, fashion, or music, I get to meet you where you’re at with my passion – video.
Of course the other rewarding aspect of being a creative that I believe can resonate across all fields of artistry is creating something from nothing. To be able to bring a concept or idea into fruition is incredibly soul fulfilling and expansive.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Being a good person, having a positive attitude, and simply being a joy to be around. When you can provide a client with what they are looking for AND have a good attitude, that’s priceless. I really believe that customer service is a strength for me as well as creating high energy videos that hold a viewer’s attention. It’s important for me to provide as much value as possible so I really prioritize pre-production to ensure I have a firm understanding of what a collaborator is looking for before I even show up on site.
