I’m Keilah, the founder of Leafsup, a women-owned and veteran-owned business based in Oregon. At Leafsup, our mission is to make healthy eating easier and more approachable for everyone.
We make frozen smoothie packs that take the guesswork out of adding more vegetables to your diet. Our products are prepped and ready to use, offering a convenient way to create nutritious meals without the stress or time commitment. Whether you’re blending a smoothie, enhancing a recipe, or simply trying to eat more greens, Leafsup makes it effortless to enjoy healthy, delicious foods.
The problem we solve is simple but impactful: access. Many people want to eat healthier but struggle with the time, knowledge, or accessibility to make it happen. We’d really appreciate if you could talk to us about how you figured out the manufacturing process.
Yes, Leafsup manufactures all our own products, and we’re proud to say that our process is as unique as our brand. When we first started, we explored the idea of working with a co-packer. However, it quickly became clear that wasn’t the right fit for us. The quality and care we put into our process simply couldn’t be replicated, and we realized that very few manufacturers were using methods like ours.
Taking manufacturing in-house has allowed us to maintain full control over the quality of our ingredients, the integrity of our process, and the final product. It hasn’t been without its challenges, though. From extensive testing to find the best packaging and ingredient combinations to ensuring our products deliver the most benefits possible, every step has been a learning experience.
One of the biggest lessons we’ve learned is the importance of patience and persistence. Developing the right process took time and involved trial and error, but the result is something we’re incredibly proud of. Manufacturing our products ourselves also ensures that every bag, every blend, and every ingredient meets our high standards and aligns with our mission to make healthy eating easier and more approachable for everyone.
For us, manufacturing isn’t just about creating a product—it’s about creating a solution that people can trust and rely on for their health and wellness.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best source of new clients for Leafsup has been in-person sales—specifically at farmers markets, food festivals, and trade shows. There’s something incredibly powerful about getting in front of people, meeting them face-to-face, and sharing our product directly. These events allow us to not only introduce Leafsup to new customers but also to hear their feedback instantly, which is invaluable.
When people see, taste, and learn about our products in person, they connect with our mission on a deeper level. These interactions help us build trust and loyalty, turning first-time buyers into long-term supporters. We’ve found that these personal connections are a key part of growing our community and getting people excited about what Leafsup has to offer.
