In the world of television, there’s a common misconception that one can’t effectively juggle multiple pursuits simultaneously. But I firmly stand against that notion; I consider it a myth. Day in and day out, I’m living proof that you can indeed do more than one thing at a time. I thrive on defying conventional wisdom because I’m not just confined to my 9-5 job; I’m a passionate musician and a dedicated performer. To me, pursuing my dreams means taking calculated risks, and I’m a staunch believer that without risk, there can be no reward.

My daily routine is a testament to this belief. From nine to five, I diligently fulfill my responsibilities in the television industry, delivering my best performance in that arena. Yet, when the workday concludes, I transition seamlessly into another world – the music studio, where I pour my heart and soul into creating melodies and lyrics that resonate with my audience.

But it doesn’t stop there. I’m not just a studio artist; I’m also on the road, touring, and bringing my music directly to the people who appreciate it most. This balancing act may seem daunting to some, but for me, it’s the only way to turn my dreams into reality.

I firmly embrace the wisdom that faith without works is dead. Each day, I put in the work to manifest my dreams, demonstrating that with determination, dedication, and a willingness to take risks, one can excel in multiple arenas simultaneously. This is my life’s testament, and I’m determined to keep proving that you can, indeed, have it all.

I am Keicon Cherry, and I consider myself a triple threat in the music industry, though I may be even more than that. At 31 years old, I’m on a mission to inject fresh energy into the faith-based music scene with my unapologetically wild sound and style. I hail from Virginia, and I’ve earned a reputation as a world-class singer/songwriter and producer.

My approach to music is far from traditional. I love incorporating contemporary sounds and delivering high-energy stage performances that captivate audiences. But what truly sets me apart is my ability to seamlessly transition from these electrifying moments to heartfelt and surrendered moments of worship. My ultimate aim is to bridge the gap between modern-day culture and the timeless message of the Gospel, making it real and relevant to all.

I’m driven by a deep desire to reach not only the churchgoers but also those who have yet to find their faith. For me, the message of Christ is inclusive and universal. It’s not an exclusive club; it’s a message for everyone. Through my music, I aspire to connect with people from all walks of life, bringing them together at the same table and sharing the transformative power of the Gospel.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

I’m currently deep in the creative process, pouring my heart and soul into my debut album, which I’ve lovingly titled “I Hear You.” This project is a labor of love, and it’s set to feature a total of 10 songs that I’ve meticulously crafted to share my musical journey with the world.

As I’ve embarked on this exciting musical adventure, I’ve found myself delving into the depths of my past experiences. Each track on this album is a unique reflection of my life, filled with memories, emotions, and stories that have shaped me into the artist I am today. It’s been an incredibly cathartic and transformative journey, allowing me to not only revisit the moments that have left their mark on my heart but also to gain new perspectives on them.

While I draw inspiration from the past, “I Hear You” is not just a nostalgic trip down memory lane. It’s also a forward-looking endeavor, an exploration of the endless possibilities that lie ahead. Through this album, I hope to connect with my audience on a profound level, inviting them to join me on this musical voyage where we embrace the past, live in the present, and eagerly anticipate the future.

With every note, every lyric, and every melody, “I Hear You” is my way of sharing my authentic self with the world, and I can’t wait for everyone to embark on this musical journey with me.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

For me, the essence of being a gospel artist transcends merely creating music; it lies in the profound impact I can have on the lives of others. It’s a calling that resonates deep within my heart. Every song I write and every note I sing carry the potential to brighten someone’s day, inspire introspection, and ultimately lead them to Christ – a mission that fuels my purpose as a gospel artist.

There’s no greater joy than when people approach me to share how my music has touched their lives. It’s a humbling experience to hear someone say, “Your song blessed my day.” These moments remind me of the incredible power of music to uplift spirits, offer solace in times of need, and kindle a spark of faith within individuals.

Even more heartwarming is when I encounter those who may not have considered stepping into a church before but find themselves drawn closer to the idea when they listen to my music. Hearing someone say, “I may never go to church, but when I hear your music, it makes me want to go,” reinforces the notion that music can be a powerful conduit for spiritual connection and transformation.

As a gospel artist, my purpose is to be a vessel through which the message of Christ’s love and salvation can reach hearts far and wide. Through my music, I hope to continue brightening days, inspiring faith, and leading souls to a deeper relationship with the divine, one song at a time.
