Kehla, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. undefined
The most innovative thing I’ve done in my career wasn’t creating some flashy new app or funnel—it was daring to burn down every “proven” business strategy that was never designed for women like me in the first place.
Early on, I realized the one-size-fits-all playbooks in the coaching industry were doing something insidious: they were scaling businesses at the cost of their owners’ health, creativity, and alignment. I watched leaders—brilliant women—hustle themselves into exhaustion, chasing success metrics that felt like a cage. And I knew in my bones there had to be another way.
So I built it.
I created a methodology that fuses Human Design and the Gene Keys with business strategy, helping entrepreneurs strip away conditioning and build businesses that don’t just look good on Instagram but feel good in their bodies, their calendars, and their bank accounts. It’s not about teaching them how to fit themselves into another coach’s system—it’s about designing a business ecosystem that works with their energy, their genius, their seasons.
For my clients, this innovation isn’t abstract. It looks like: scaling a signature program without burnout, tripling revenue while cutting their work hours in half, and stepping into a level of leadership that feels unapologetically true.
Innovation isn’t reserved for Silicon Valley. Sometimes, the most radical thing you can do is trust there’s a blueprint encoded in your being—and then design a business that lets it breathe.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
💥 Question 1: “For folks who may not have read about you before, can you tell our readers about yourself, how you got into your industry / business / discipline / craft etc.”
I didn’t just “get into” my industry—I created a new way of doing business in it.
My background is as far from the coaching industry as you can imagine. I spent over a decade as an elite rugby athlete, where my worth was measured in wins and speed. I graduated on the honor roll, won a bronze medal at the University Olympics in 2013, and represented Canada at the Touch Rugby World Cup in England last year.
When I left that world, I carried that same high-performance, all-or-nothing energy into entrepreneurship. I became obsessed with doing everything “right”—building funnels, perfecting launches, following every step the industry said I “should.” But eventually, I realized I was scaling my business at the cost of my health, my creativity, and my freedom.
I reached a breaking point. And instead of quitting, I dismantled everything that wasn’t working. I didn’t want to be another coach handing out cookie-cutter strategies. I wanted to help leaders build businesses that amplified who they are, not who the industry told them to be.
So I built my own methodology. One that fuses Human Design and the Gene Keys into business strategy to create businesses that are as sustainable as they are successful.
⚡ Question 2: “What type of products/services/creative works do you provide?”
I work with ambitious female entrepreneurs who are here to lead at their edge and scale their businesses in ways that feel powerful and sustainable.
My services include private coaching, mastermind experiences, and self-paced programs that integrate Human Design and the Gene Keys into every layer of business strategy—launching, marketing, offer creation, client experience, and leadership.
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all frameworks. A launch strategy that works for a Manifesting Generator will burn out a Projector. A mindset reframe that lands for one client won’t touch the depth of another’s self-sabotage patterns. This is where Human Design and Gene Keys give my clients their unique roadmap to create scalable programs, magnetic content, and an energetic signature that attracts their people effortlessly.
🔥 Question 3: “What problems do you solve for your clients and/or what sets you apart from others?”
The biggest problem I solve is helping my clients stop outsourcing their power to the latest “industry blueprint” and start building their businesses from their own innate genius.
Most business coaches teach from what worked for them—but they rarely give the nuance of why it might not work for someone else. What sets me apart is that I hold up a cosmic mirror, showing my clients their Human Design and Gene Keys as the zones of genius they’ve had since birth. Together, we strip away every layer of conditioning they’ve picked up from other “successful” people so they can lead, sell, and scale from a place of full alignment.
This isn’t about more tactics or checking boxes—it’s about remembering who the hell you are and building a business that amplifies it.
🌟 Question 4: “What are you most proud of and what are the main things you want potential clients/followers/fans to know about you/your brand/your work/etc.”
I’m most proud of the leaders I’ve supported—women who have turned their businesses into movements, built scalable programs without burning out, and stepped into their edge as authorities in their industries.
What I want people to know about my work is this: You don’t need to do more, be more, or become someone else to succeed. Your Human Design and Gene Keys are your blueprint for impact, influence, and income—they hold the codes to everything you’ve been chasing through strategy alone.
My brand is for women ready to cut through the noise, claim their edge, and build businesses that are an unapologetic expression of who they are.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Resilience is often sold as “pushing through” or “grinding harder,” but for me, resilience looked like stopping everything, burning it down, and facing the hard truths I’d avoided for years.
In 2023, I found myself standing in the middle of my dream life—traveling through Bali, living out the “manifestation lifestyle,” posting daily, and launching programs. But behind the curated posts and affirmations was a crushing reality: my credit cards were maxed, my launches weren’t converting, and I was drowning in $30,000 of debt I wasn’t telling anyone about—not even my fiancé. I told myself the universe would have my back if I just “acted as if.” But the truth? I was bypassing responsibility and hiding from the financial foundations my business needed to actually thrive.
One night, lying in the dark, I confessed to my fiancé how deep the debt really was. The next morning, we had the conversation that changed everything. He looked at me and said, “Kehla, I’m not your dad.” That sentence cracked open decades of hyper-independence and fear of asking for help—patterns rooted in my childhood growing up with a father who was not mentally, emotionally, or financially available to support me. I carried a story that I couldn’t trust men or money, and it was destroying my business before I even had the chance to build and scale it effectively.
Over the next six months, I overhauled my entire business model. I stopped trying to “energetically attract” success without strategy and started designing my business with precision and nuance. I created Signature Program by Design, a program that helps entrepreneurs build their own scalable signature offers through the lens of Human Design and Gene Keys. By the end of 2024, I had surpassed six figures for my first—but not my last—time in business.
Resilience isn’t just surviving the storm—it’s using it as a mirror to see the patterns holding you back and having the courage to lead differently. That’s the standard I now bring to my clients: radical responsibility, unshakable self-awareness, and building businesses that can weather any season because they’re rooted in who you really are.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
The biggest lesson I had to unlearn was this: more doesn’t mean better. More offers. More content. More effort. More manifestation journals. None of it guaranteed the sustainable, scalable success I was chasing.
For years, I spread myself thin trying to prove I was “doing enough” to earn my place in the coaching industry. I launched countless programs, hustled on social media, and cycled through strategies at lightning speed. And yet, my income was inconsistent, my energy was depleted, and my business felt like a house of cards.
The turning point came in late 2023 when I hit a financial and emotional low and realized I was avoiding the one thing that would change everything: focus. I’d been trying to bypass strategy with “energetics” and bypass energetics with strategy—never fully integrating the two in a way that honored my own Human Design and Gene Keys.
So I stopped trying to do it all. I put every ounce of my energy into one program—Signature Program by Design—and made it the backbone of my business. I treated it like the roots of a tree, with every piece of content, every offer, and every conversation branching out from that core. I went all in on refining my niche, my messaging, my launch strategy, and my client experience—using Human Design and Gene Keys not as marketing buzzwords but as precision tools for building a scalable ecosystem.
The result? That one program has now generated over $100K in cash. I scaled to my first six-figure year in 2024—not by doing more, but by doing less with far more intentionality.
This lesson now defines how I coach my clients. I teach them that scaling isn’t about adding complexity. It’s about stripping away what’s not aligned, focusing on their core genius, and building a business that amplifies their edge. Because when you’re leading from your design, you don’t have to scramble for momentum—you become the momentum.
