Hi Keenya, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to start by getting your thoughts on what you are seeing as some the biggest trends emerging in your industry
The biggest trend is using short form video marketing to sell products and services on social media. In 2020 when I was first introduced to TikTok, it didn’t make sense to me about selling products with 15 second videos and no one was talking about it. I had to test it by myself for about 9 months. As a result things really exploded and 3 years later all of social media has shifted to short form video marketing.
My concern is that our customers attention span has become very divided with so much content to consume that they are no longer loyal because of all of the information they are able to consume.
We recently watched what was a high converting video series not perform as well and when we talked to our customers it was because most didn’t even see it.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I spent many years in the network marketing industry, but 7 years ago I decided to build my own company. I started teaching personal branding on livestream and as a result a demand was created for a service that I was not offering. So I built it as I was teaching and we had great success with that brand design company. 3 years ago I decided to focus on teaching funnel and video marketing instead because it was more fun and less stressful for me.
Now we focus on teaching online business owners the value of creating a marketing funnel and using short form video marketing to generate leads and convert them into sales easier by using automation.
What sets me apart is that I am a person that built my business online using the strategies that I currently teach. So I am someone that can show my company success with the strategies as well as our clients success.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
7 years I was faced with going through an unexpected divorce while I was building an online business. I was absolutely devastated and I didnt have a plan B. I had to move out of our home suddenly, quit my business and get a job to help with living expenses and rebuilding my life.
In the midst of attending therapy multiple days a week and choosing the healing/forgiveness journey I was able to land a six figure job and within 18 months I built a business to over $400,000 in revenue.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
We recently had to make a fast major pivot due to the US government threatening to shut down TikTok which was a major part of my business. Within 45 days we had to rebuilt the entire company, websites, offers etc.
We did in 45 days what normally would take 6-9 months.
