We were lucky to catch up with Keeley Burgert recently and have shared our conversation below.
Keeley, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
I came up with the idea for Revive & Revitalize while I was working as a bedside nurse. I was pregnant with my first child and was feeling burnt out from working 12 hour shifts at the hospital. I remembered several years earlier getting sick with food poisoning and not being able to keep water down. My doctor recommended going to the hospital to receive an IV due to my symptoms. Being a nurse at that time I thought there must be a better way to achieve what I needed without having to wait for hours in the ER and billing a large amount of money through my insurance. That’s when I came up with the idea to offer concierge IV hydration services to clients who maybe were in a pinch and required some sort of IV hydration, whether that be for migraine relief, to help with a hangover, or someone simply just seeking assistance with IV hydration.

Keeley, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I have been a nurse for going on ten years now, so that is how I got into the medical aspect of this job. My husband has an MBA and helped me navigate some of the entrepreneurial side of things, and also co-owns this business with me. Our business, Revive & Revitalize, offers a wide variety of IV hydration options to clients. We have offerings for clients experiencing hangovers and migraines, we also offer IV’s to assist with post workout recovery, as well as multiple other offerings. We are a concierge business meaning instead of clients having to come seek us out, we come to our clients. When people don’t feel well they don’t want to leave their house and we recognize this. What sets us apart is that most IV hydration services require a concierge fee to come to you. We provide this service free of charge.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I sat on the idea for Revive & Revitalize for several months. I was pregnant at the time I came up with the idea, and dove into actually starting the business after I had given birth. I was really struggling with post-partum depression and almost didn’t start Revive & Revitalize at all.
My husband really believed in my idea and my ability to run this business. He helped me realize this was something I really wanted to do and was there every step of the way and was always really encouraging. I feel like fighting through the post partum phase to make Revive & Revitalize even happen is one of the ways I’ve been most resilient in this journey.

We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
My husband is the cofounder and co-owner of Revive & Revitalize. We met in college back in 2009 through a mutual friend. He was a few years older than I was and graduated before I did. Once my husband graduated, he spent some time abroad, and we ended up losing touch for over 10 years. We ended up reconnecting unexpectedly, and have been together ever since. He has owned his own business for 15 years, and he felt I had the ability to be successful starting my own business, so that’s when we decided to start Revive & Revitalize together.
