We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kebbeh Jallah a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Kebbeh , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Alright – so having the idea is one thing, but going from idea to execution is where countless people drop the ball. Can you talk to us about your journey from idea to execution?
I started my journey as a young entrepreneur by following my passion for creativity. Growing up, I was always interested in writing, modeling, and building something of my own. Instead of waiting for opportunities, I decided to create them myself.
The first step was turning my ideas into something real. I began writing my first book and working on building my personal brand. It took me about 3–4 months to complete my first book, and during that time I was also working two jobs while going to school. The process was challenging because I was balancing so many responsibilities at once.
During the time I was overworking myself, I faced some small health issues that eventually led to surgery. That experience taught me an important lesson about the importance of balance and taking care of my health while chasing my goals. After that, I started learning how to better manage my time, prioritize my well-being, and still stay committed to my dreams.
What started as just an idea slowly turned into something real through persistence, learning, and growth. Even with the challenges along the way, those experiences helped shape my journey and taught me how to keep pushing forward while taking care of myself in the process.

Kebbeh , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Kebbeh Jallah, and I’m a creative entrepreneur, author, and model based in Minnesota. I got into my industry by following my passion for creativity and storytelling.
Learning how to adapt through life as a young African American female has also influenced a lot of my growth. I’ve experienced heartbreaks and uncomfortable situations in my personal life that forced me to grow, reflect, and become stronger. Those experiences taught me the importance of self-awareness and accountability. I believe growth comes from being honest with yourself, learning from difficult moments, and choosing to evolve instead of staying stuck.
Through my work, I focus on creative expression, storytelling, and building a brand that encourages confidence, resilience, and authenticity. My creative work includes writing books, modeling, and collaborating with brands and other creatives. I aim to use my platform to inspire others—especially young people—to believe in their potential and pursue their dreams even when the journey is not easy.
What sets me apart is my authenticity and the real experiences behind my work. Everything I create comes from personal growth, challenges, and lessons I’ve learned along the way. I’m not just focused on success; I’m focused on impact and showing others that it’s possible to build something meaningful from your passion.
One of the things I’m most proud of is having the courage to start. Writing my first book while balancing work, school, and personal challenges showed me that persistence and belief in yourself can take you further than you imagine. I’m also proud that my journey can inspire others who may be facing obstacles but still want to pursue their goals.
What I want potential clients, followers, and supporters to know is that my brand is built on growth, creativity, and authenticity. I want people to feel motivated when they see my work and understand that success is not about perfection—it’s about consistency, learning, self-awareness, accountability, and continuing to push forward no matter what challenges come your way.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Yes, a major mission that drives my creative journey is helping people understand the importance of healing from past trauma and emotional burdens that many of us carry. I want to reach people around the world with the message that it’s okay to acknowledge your pain, process it, and release it instead of letting it define you.
At one point in my life, I struggled to understand my own emotions and I was very hard on myself. I carried a lot internally and didn’t always know how to process it. As I grew and became more self-aware, I realized how important emotional healing and self-compassion truly are. That realization became a big part of the message behind my work.
Through my creative journey, I want women and girls of all ages and backgrounds to understand that we will all face challenges, heartbreak, and difficult seasons in life. Those experiences don’t define who you are. There is beauty within pain, and often a greater story waiting for you on the other side of the healing process.
My goal is to create work that encourages people to reflect, grow, and give themselves permission to heal. I want people to know that their struggles don’t make them weak—they can actually become the foundation for strength, purpose, and transformation.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
One lesson I’ve had to unlearn is the habit of isolating myself in order to be productive. When I was writing my first book, I completely isolated myself so I could focus strictly on finishing it. I barely went out, spent less time exploring new environments, and kept most of my time centered around work and responsibilities. At the time, I believed that shutting everything else out was the only way I could accomplish my goals.
While that level of discipline helped me finish my book, the isolation eventually became a habit that I’m still working to unlearn. Over time, I realized that growth doesn’t always happen alone. Some of the most valuable opportunities, ideas, and resources come from being connected to others.
Now I’m learning that growth requires community and collaboration. There are certain resources, perspectives, and opportunities that I simply won’t be able to access on my own. Because of that realization, I’ve been making an effort to expand my vision, step outside of my comfort zone, and open myself up to new ideas, experiences, and connections with others.
