We were lucky to catch up with Kearil Abraham recently and have shared our conversation below.
Kearil, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
Ever since I was in second grade, I aspired to become a pediatrician. As time progressed I took the courses or participated in the activities that would lead me on the right track. Once I reached high school, I dreamt of the concept of your one stop shop of pediatric healthcare services in one building. By senior year of high school, I became a summer intern shadowing a local pediatrician. My passion to work with children and see how they think was intriguing to me. Well, fast-forward to sophomore year of college and I quickly felt like my dreams was disappearing before my eyes. The biology program was difficult for me. I chose to switch to psychology with concentration in children and minor in biology. But!!! My dreams didn’t stop there, it just pivoted to a different angle. In the past, you can always find me assisting with the children: if there was a party with kids, I was dancing around and trying to keep them entertained while the adults had fun.
Although, I entered the work force in a field that wasn’t necessary what I studied for, I always had my dream in the back of my mind. I went onto obtain my master’s in business administration and that sparked the beginnings of Kayz Little Einstein Academy in 2017. It was a slow beginning because becoming a small business owner/entrepreneur required more than I honestly invested.
It wasn’t until 2020 when I had my first child that I had the drive to push my draft of a dream into action. I wanted to show my child that you can follow your passion. This new drive cause the blossom of many ideas and activities. Over the 2 years being in business, I have developed a lot of services, hosted panel discussions, playdates and so much more. As of today, I am a mompreneur of 2 providing Luxury Childcare Services, Event Childcare Sitting, Family Enrichment activities and workshops, educational activities, and collaborations with fellow small businesses.
These services allow me to do so much. I provide parents or guardians with some much needed time to relax or childcare for work hours. I give business owners or event planners, the ability to increase attendance. I provide families an opportunity to meet other families in the community and learn about resources offered. I have now coined the phrase the one stop shop for childcare and learning needs for families.
Kearil, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
As a small business owner, the goal is to provide clients positive experiences and build a excellent reputation. I have taken several steps to become reputable in my local community and the childcare/babysitting market. I began by providing resources, topics, and events that are relevant to now. I have made it my mission to make to incorporate educational activities or services for the children that are diverse so that they are knowledgeable and can relate to. The first two years in business my primary focus was private in-home care to couples or single parents. I would provide complimentary meet and greets to ensure that the children were comfortable with me. Once I was hired, I would provide pictures of our activities, progress reports, and if long-term check in with the parents. Overall, I believe at the end of the day me being personable, relatable, and understanding of the family’s circumstances has helped my business reputable.
