We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kearah Demercado. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kearah below.
Hi Kearah , thanks for joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
I came with this idea by it coming to me and by that I’m saying god put me in a setting tof guidance to conquer and achieve to starting my production company based on fashion and events. I started my company from a mindset of I’m going to achieve everything I been wanting to achieve i had a whole list from learning how to swim to taking a dance class to experiencing my first concert to starting my modeling carrier. The journey of my modeling career starting in the very beginning of 2021 had been amazing and a worthwhile experience that helped grow my confidence and insecurities made new friends support systems and connections brought me to a point of happiness and joy. As a model I took part in photoshoots, commercials, Fashion Shows that was so much fun but I did notice me just being a boss women I always wanted to take control or part of the project more than usual ‘ ;I realized as a model there’s certain things they may not realize as our needs or the headspace we may be in and more ‘ like having us at a event all day with no pay no drink or no updates on what’s going on throughout the day ‘ ; So those were a few pointers I will bring up for those to notices that’s we also gotta focus on we are all models and adults and will like to work in an event where we e are able to be treated as humans ‘ you know ? so I came into producing my production company ‘ to focus on us as a prize and also for others who iupcoming inspiring photographers; artist, models to work in a space to uplift inspire motivate and bring out all of our creative ideas amongst one another

Kearah , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I got into this industry started from modeling, Assisting for shows and other events, photoshoots, commercials and more then produced my fashionshows as a collab with popup Shop producers, To bring a spazz into others events’ showcase designers/business owners products and items and also help models with practice , content and work.. then I was able to produce my own photoshoot (sleepwear/lingerie photoshoot) mostly models I worked with and more attended the photoshoot and enjoyed the time and content they were able to create and have.I also had the opportunity to direct a videoshoots ‘ bringing in some of my models and help as a stylist and directing for artist and models, It was an amazing time that was also one major time in career it was fun not to much pressure everything was organized and dealt with from early so me Ofcourse who’s always on top of everything made sure the girls looked good everyone played there part in the video ‘ I learned so much within myself of not putting myself through so much emotions I got this ! I succeed ‘ always ! The fashion shows was sometimes a hit or Miss ‘ but as long as I was in the building we are going to have an amazing show ‘ March 9th was a day of greatness for me because I received so much appreciation, compliments and more for probably a week or 2 straight. I feel people really saw what I do isn’t easy ‘ it takes a lot to organize a show but to also direct when we the show is going on ‘ I dealt with fashion shows by myself running the whole show literally I had many shows before march 9th ; But march 9th ; was a day the crowd, employees and more saw me stop focus and push through

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I built my presence on Instagram ‘ by starting all over. .. from my modeling page to my production page .. I keep each social media account pertaining to the focus of the page ‘ modeling ; I kept it looking for castings, photoshoots, other models, casting directors so when I’m scrolling I’m updated in my industry ‘ so my page only shows me topics I’m interested in , so my production page it’s a bit tricky i still keep it similar to modeling but I look out for photographers, creative directors ; I’m still looking for people to add onto my team so I’m always searching and looking but I’m open to spaces, to host my own projects designers and others I can collaborate with

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I can say throughout my journey I improved my resilience my journey into modeling I had to realize it was time to take action ‘ and I will sometimes say “got ain’t never gone give me to much I can’t handle” going to my first castings and shows ‘ I was bymyself had to focus on staying to the end ‘ walking with confidence meeting new people, Learning from each event or caating I went to ‘ making every event eventful taking in a lot from the environment getting myself more out in the field to meeting all these different wonderful individuals I had to be confident open minded strong minded, independent, hopefully, Have faith and keep on moving ‘ not every show or caatings i got excepted to but I took it as fuel to keep on going ‘ and as I did I started meeting new people ‘ and realizing some of these individual is also new this is an environment where u can’t judge a book by its cover ‘ which I hope no one ever do ‘ ; but sometimes we may be in our head a lot ‘ and not realizing sometimes communication is the best thing for us ‘ ; We may have to stay hopeful and push through ‘ but it in this industry we might just have to build up and enjoy the journey or gain the strength to improve your resilience to make it to the end
