Keanna, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Are you happy as a creative professional? Do you sometimes wonder what it would be like to work for someone else?

I am very happy and love being a nail tech but sometimes it does seem a lot easier to get a regular job. I have gotten a job to have a steady income but it doesn’t last long because I love doing nails. The passion have for nails outweighs the thoughts of getting a regular 9 to 5.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

My nail journey started in 2019 and it just took off from there. I attended Tint School of Cosmetology and Makeup and became licensed. My interest in nails came from just not being satisfied with my nails and deciding I can do it myself. It became easy to me and I realized I can do other peoples nails too and not just my own. I offer manicures, pedicures, acrylic nails, and custom presson nails. I am proud of my progress so far and can’t wait to see what the future holds.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

The satisfaction of the client with my work. To know that the client left my chair happy and will tell others about it, is rewarding to me.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

To takes consistency to build a social media audience. Everything is content, just post it! Last year on TikTok I was from 100 followers to 10k overnight with one video. I didn’t think it was anything interesting about the video I posted but people liked it. My advice would be to just post content everyday.
