Kayna , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?

Back in 2016 I did my first “Big Hair Chop” and I thought to myself How can I make my hair grow faster? I started doing my research and found essential oils that were great for hair growth. Everyone noticed how rapid my hair was growing within a short period of time. I never thought to make it a business AT ALL…Because I wouldn’t be the first in the same business industry that wasn’t solving hair growth issues, but I knew my approach had to be different and has been and this is how I knew it would work. Helping others grow out their hair didn’t sound like a bad idea…So why not share it with the world? When I started getting great feedbacks about my pomade which is my first & best seller product was bringing back edges, filling in bald spots and growing out hairs I knew my business was worthwhile the endeavor and excitement!

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I provide hair growth products that assist with thinning, helps reduce breakage allowing hair to grow longer, thickens & strengthens weak damaged hair. Also, helps with dry, itchy scalps & I also cater to people who has alopecia and other related hair loss issues. I also have a Men’s & Kid’s collection. Although, my main focus is hair growth I’ve branch out to other products as well such as Lip Scrubs, Glow Facial Serums and etc. Consistency has been major key for me, I post my business every day. What sets me apart from others is that my goal has always been to really helping my customers with their “hair confidence”, It’s not about money. It’s all about them letting me know how my product really works & has changed their lives. I cater to everyone. My products are 100% Natural. Promote! Promote! Promote! your brand every day. I promote on every social media plat form that I have. Provide great customer service word of mouth goes far. I’ve also googled ideas to build my audience for etc. “best times to post” as well as popular hashtags! Show up for your business even when you don’t even feel like it. Because you never know who’s watching.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?

When it was time to change the name of my business. In order to elevate & become more successful I had to go from Kay’s Magic Hair Growth (homemade secret ingredients) to KayFidence and I’ve seen a major difference.
