Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kaylynn Mower. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Kaylynn, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Going back to the beginning – how did you come up with the idea in the first place?
Im still developing my the creative service business idea. “When you Give” is a charitable account where my sales of each book that is sold, the proceeds go towards families financial burden for adoption. It all started with the idea years ago when I wanted to write and publish a children’s book about my feelings and how my adoption changed my life but also to make an impact for young children that are awaiting adoption or been adopted to have the love hope that I received.
I would love to inspire or give hope to young children or anyone else who wants to hear my story. If this succeeds, then it was meant to be.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
A little about Kaylynn. I am a mother, a wife, a daughter and a sister. I love being with my family of four, and enjoy a lot of hobbies. I love traveling, journaling, playing volleyball, and spending time with my friends but I also like my time to read, work on outdoor/indoor projects.
I was originally adopted from Russia at the age of eight. My adoption has changed my life for the better, but to some that may not be the case. I have always wanted to illustrate, and publish a children’s book to show my feelings through a child perspective on how adoption has changed my life. Of course if anyone has published a book, it definitely is a process. I have learned a lot especially just doing everything on my own. When I published I knew I wanted to do something greater, and that is to share my book, and have a donation/charity account to help other families financially with their own adoption.
As of right now I have no clients working under me.
I am most proud of finishing and publishing my first children’s book a year ago. I surprised my parents, they were so happy and grateful. Which makes my heart very happy, and still does to this day. I want my family, friends or fans to know that I have big goals that I would love to accomplish but doing it on my own takes time and patience for ideas to become reality. I would hope that my story will reach to those that want to hear and maybe doors will be open for me to accomplish amazing things.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
I have multiple goals but the first is to share my story, sell my book, and raise funds for my charity account. My other goal would be to start my own podcast. Now I would tell you what it is, but someone might steel my idea. But my topic would be about adoption! My journey is just starting and I’m still trying to navigate all of it.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I have had couple opportunities to share my story through social media. One is being filmed by a friend, on my own asking me about my adoption and the purpose of me writing my book. I have uploaded my story and book through Facebook, Amazon, (“When my World Changed”) Instagram, and Tik Tok. I also was interviewed on live, Studio Chatter tv show, It was an amazing experience.
I don’t know if I have any advice on building a social media presence because I’m still in the middle of learning it myself but one thing that I have learned. Sometime it may be hard to talk about your past, but you may never know who you can impact by your personal story.
