We were lucky to catch up with Kaylie Roth recently and have shared our conversation below.
Kaylie, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Owning a business isn’t always glamorous and so most business owners we’ve connected with have shared that on tough days they sometimes wonder what it would have been like to have just had a regular job instead of all the responsibility of running a business. Have you ever felt that way?
Am I happy as a business owner? I would say absolutely. Yes, there are stresses that come with it some days but, I honestly wouldn’t change it for the world. I sometimes think about what it would be like to have a regular job for sure. The last time a thought about that was last year though. It was during the time when things were pretty stagnant with my business in the growing period and I was questioning if my dream was even worth it. I was sitting at home in the backyard thinking about how my kiddos were growing up and they were going to start school in the next few years; I really needed to question whether or not it all was worth it or if I should go to a normal day to day job again. In the end? I kept pushing and working hard and it was a hundred precent worth the hard.
I don’t ever want a normal job again. I love my job and it is everything I could have asked for and more. I cannot wait to continue to watch it grow.

Kaylie, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
For sure! I am Kaylie Michelle, I am 27. I live in Colorado and have my entire life. I own Kaylie Michelle Promotions and it is a business based around helping mainly Country artists get their music out to as many people as possible. But, also help other artists in different genres, as well as collabing with brands! I help with bridging the gap between fans & brands. My main focus on top of promotions is building a fan base organically. I do that by helping with streams, cover art, social media, and much more!
I am most proud of being able to help as many artists & brands as possible in the last 3-4 years that are independently based or small companies. My main goal is to make everyone feel like family and feel like their ideas are being heard; as well as they are growing and learning what they need to as we go in the process!

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source of new clients for me in all honesty has been instagram or tiktok. I have gained a lot of new clients and friends off of those two social media apps.
How did you build your audience on social media?
Building my audience on social media hasn’t been a easy task. I have always gotten a tad bit frustrated at times if it wasn’t growing like I wanted. at one point I think I was posting 3-6 times a day in tiktok. A little crazy haha. Yes, You have to be dedicated and know with every algorithm things will change frequently. My audience has grown the most when I post frequently and am the most genuine in commenting back with followers or engaging during livestreams. Whether on tiktok or instagram. My advice for those just starting, stay consistent on posting and once you are able to go live and engage that way do so! And always remember to stay genuine and yourself! People will know when you are being you!!
