We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kaylene Bondoc a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Kaylene, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
The legacy I am hoping to build is to be a well-respected Filipina woman in the music industry. I believe people will remember me by assisting undervalued artists & creatives while essentially creating a community built off talent, drive, ambition and passion. It is important to me that everyone I work with is not in it for financial wealth but to make their inner child dreams come true.

Kaylene, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
The inception of Still In Motion is a story rooted in friendship, creativity, and a shared passion for music and artistry. It all began with casual collaborations between myself, Lopeezy, and JayRome—three friends who, in their spare time, found joy in experimenting with music and creative projects. Helping JayRome with managing his music career was our initial foray into the world of creative production, and the positive feedback from those early endeavors revealed a hidden talent and potential we hadn’t fully realized.
Our breakthrough came when Nueve Lio, one of our music clients, asked us to produce a music video for his track “Landmine” directed by Lopeezy. What started as a modest project quickly gained traction, turning into a successful and widely viewed piece. This success was a turning point for us. We recognized that our blend of creativity and execution had the power to make a significant impact.
The name Still In Motion was inspired by our Event Coordinator and Creative Advertiser, Carlisa Yabut. Throughout the filming of “Landmine,” Carlisa repeatedly emphasized that we were “still in motion,” a phrase that resonated deeply with all of us. It became a symbol of our commitment to continuous growth and innovation.
Today, Still In Motion embodies our belief that creativity is a journey, not a destination. We’re dedicated to being a nurturing home for emerging stars, whether they’re artists, managers, or other creative professionals. Our agency is driven by the idea that everyone involved is part of an ongoing movement, constantly evolving and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the creative world.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
My approach to growing clientele is fundamentally grounded in the power of networking and building genuine connections within the music and creative industries. Over the 2 years, I’ve come to understand that the strength of your network directly influences your success truly, your network is your net worth.
At the heart of our growth strategy is the commitment to forming authentic relationships. By connecting with a diverse array of individuals from emerging artists to seasoned professionals to view as mentors, executives, or even individuals that have been in the game much longer than I have. I’ve learned that real success comes from truly understanding and valuing the people you work with. These relationships are more than just business contacts; they become collaborators, advocates, and friends who are invested in each other’s success.
I’ve found that networking is not just about collecting contacts, but about cultivating meaningful interactions that lead to mutual growth. Engaging with a wide range of people in the industry opens doors to new opportunities and insights. Whether it’s through industry events, collaborations, or social gatherings, each connection has the potential to lead to new projects and partnerships.
One of the most effective ways to grow our clientele has been through referrals from our network. When you build strong, authentic relationships, your network naturally becomes a source of trusted recommendations. Satisfied clients and partners who believe in our work often refer us to others, expanding our reach and reinforcing our reputation.
We actively highlight our collaborative projects and partnerships as a testament to the strength of our network. By showcasing these successful collaborations, we demonstrate our ability to connect with and deliver for a variety of clients. This visibility not only attracts new clientele but also positions us as a well-connected and credible player in the industry.
The creative and music industries are constantly evolving, and staying relevant requires a keen understanding of industry trends and needs. By maintaining a diverse and dynamic network, we stay informed about emerging trends and opportunities, allowing us to adapt our strategies and offerings accordingly.
In summary, my strategy for growing clientele revolves around the belief that networking and building genuine connections are crucial to success. Your network is your net worth, and by fostering meaningful relationships within the industry, we create a foundation for continuous growth and opportunity.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
At the age of 21-22 I embarked on a journey to continue Still In Motion Agency while juggling the demands of college life. Initially, my business was slow-moving as I was still learning the ropes of running a successful agency. It was a challenging period, with the agency demanding most of my time and attention, pulling me away from my studies and previous day job.
Balancing this new venture with college, family, and friends was incredibly tough. I found myself struggling to manage my time effectively, and my personal life seemed to take a backseat to the ever-growing demands of the business. The workload was mentally consuming, leaving me feeling stagnant and overwhelmed. Despite these challenges, I never once considered giving up. The unwavering support from my team, artists, friends, and family kept me going.
2024 was particularly difficult. It became one of my hardest years work load wise & mentally, as I battled with severe anxiety, self-doubt, and struggles with self-worth. The pressure of balancing work, personal obstacles, and my own mental health seemed insurmountable at times. However, through these trials, I found a newfound strength and resilience. I learned to embrace my challenges, which in turn made me more confident and independent in my career.
The journey hasn’t been easy, but the support and belief from those around me have been instrumental. With each hurdle, I’ve grown more determined and focused. Now, as I look ahead, I’m more confident than ever in the possibilities before us. I believe in our vision and am committed to achieving our goals. This experience has taught me that with perseverance and the right support, anything is possible even the delusional ideas.
