We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kayla Autry a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Kayla, appreciate you joining us today. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
I have always been a person that love to create. I love to see things being molded into true beauty. I feel that creating shows the inner beauty in people. It took me loosing something so beautiful to me to awaking the drive and push me to find a positive way to put negative energy out. My turn started in May of 2014 I was just 18 years old and gave birth to such a beautiful baby boy that completely turned my life upside down but in all the best of ways. there was nothing more beautiful then his little face to me. Suddenly in June 2015 God saw it fit to bring my Beauty home with him. After loosing my child I was lost. For a year I had lived for him, I pushed for him, every move I made was for him and when he left me I felt I had noting to live for and I went in to a dark place of not wanting to go on. I felt guilty for being here everyday and his life gone so fast. I hit rock bottom and started to trickle down a path of slow destruction. Angry with God I allowed my faith to slip. A couple years went by and I was still angry with God but I didn’t want to be anymore. I prayed that he give me something that I could find beauty in again and in 2017 I found out I was Pregnant with my Daughter. I saw that same beauty but I was still missing something. I was still grieving, I was still hurting, I needed something positive that was just for me that I could process my feeling, emotions and thoughts in a safe place while doing something that gave me peace. It was my daughters first birthday and I wanted to do so much and was calling around here and there to find people to do things for me to make her day amazing. In the process of doing so I kept telling my self I can do this myself I can do this I can do that and after talking to my Mommy one day telling her about all the ideals I had for the party she said to me “Girl you are the bomb I know you can make it all happen you just have to try and go for it” and from there with my I can motivation and the support net I needed I step out tried and it came out so great and during the time I didn’t even see that this was going to be something bigger for me. I can now say my postive out let has turned into a full blown business and not i am the owner of tasteful Touched Creations.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

As your planner it is my job to take your vision hear the vision and map it out to make it come to pass. I understand that post people have visions for thing but just don’t know how to execute them successfully an that’s where I come in.
I stated my Business by experiments-and-learning the different strategies to making things happen. I took the time to fail and be okay with failing to get to a point where failing is just not an option anymore. This way allowed me to see the don’t do’s and maybe nots so that way when I started my company i had a better chance of being successful.
My main focus is to take all the stressors of big event off you and make them mine so whatever the day may be for them they are able to enjoy it with a clear mind.

I would say, I am completely transparent with my clients. I am upfront about my abilities of what I can do, and honest about the things that I can execute with excellence. I am very open to trying things that I have not done before, and always willing to take a rest for the happiness in the sake of my clients. My objective is always to build a rapport with my clients so that they know who they are working with, and that they can trust that I will do everything to execute the vision when putting their events in my hands.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I would say, but I built my reputation of honest fee entrance, parent he I would say that a lot of my clients can see the genuineness, and the passion that I put into everything that I do, and that their vision literally becomes my vision their dream becomes my dream and I take it seriously I would say that anyone that has worked with me.
