Katrina, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with a story that highlights an important way in which your brand diverges from the industry standard.
I take so much pride in the work I do for my customers. Each product is made to order with soaps being the exception since they do take 6 weeks to cure. Each order is packaged beautifully and uniquely, I love adding a random free product in an order to give the customer a little thank you from me and to try a new product! All my products are infused with CBD, this truly does enhance the customer experience. Not only does it relieve any aches and pains you may have but, it’s SO good for your skin in every way. It helps with any skin conditions you may have from dry skin to acne, or dermatitis. CBD isolate powder is the purest form of CBD, containing 0% THC making it available to all ages. I love every single one of my customers and am available immediately for anything they would need. I think my passion and love for my work and providing a solution to dry skin problems really makes me stick out from other brand names, I truly care about the customer experience and feedback that I get from all.
Katrina, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I started my business in March of 2022, with a desire to have my own business. I knew I always wanted to be an entrepreneur but unsure of the industry. I started doing research on what products I can get into or even create. I came across soaps and then started thinking, “well how do I stick out from others now?” Then, CBD came to mind. It’s not so common, so I went for it and never looked back! There have been some restrictions for me along the way due to government regulations, yes – even though there is no THC in it, I am still considered a risky business so I fully fund my business from my full time job. I had to jump through hoops just to get approved with a payment processor for my website. But, it has all been worth it and I am so happy I never gave up and continued my trial and error with all my products as I expanded to perfect my recipes. I love getting feedback from everyone good or bad – I take it all with a grain of sugar, because honest feedback makes myself and my products that much better. I thrive off great reviews and immediately resolve any negative ones.
How did you build your audience on social media?
Honestly, social media has been an experience for me. I am on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. I have been trying to gain my followers through all sources and will continue to. I follow like minded small business owners and even ask them for tips or tricks! Posting constantly is extremely important as well as interacting with everyone. It’s easier said than done, trust me! I have a goal in mind and I will achieve it through persistence and a no failure mentality.
We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
My business partner is my husband! He is with me at all my events and helps me with everything at home from making products to packaging and shipping them out. He is a much better salesman than me, I wouldn’t be able to make it alone at my events so I am truly blessed to have such a great supporter.
