We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Katie Noble a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Katie , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
I’ve always been a risk taker, whether it was in my career or investments or trying new things. Creating this page was a small risk. Was it going to flop? What would people think? Will the content actually be good? So many self limiting thoughts that went through my head. But as I started creating content and doing more business visits, I found myself loving it so much that I didn’t care what people thought. I wanted to give people in Ohio a page where they could find fun things to do and good food to eat. Now, 4 months and 60k followers later, I have worked with large companies such as the Hall of Fame Village, Cedar Point, Pepsi Co, and more. I never thought my content would be loved so much. It makes me happy to see that one risk and a little bit of courage lead me to where I am at today! I love when people tell me that they went somewhere because of a video I made. It makes my heart happy to see Ohio Places To Go’s content helping drive customers into deserving businesses.

Katie , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Katie Noble and I create short form video content highlighting businesses in Ohio. I got into this industry through social media. No matter what career I was in, I always used social media marketing to attract more business & customers. I realized I enjoyed the digital marketing side more then the actually work side of my businesses. After doing 75 Hard and documenting every day, my editing skills grew and improved. A few of my videos went viral on TikTok and that is when I really realized the power of consistency and social media.
Food and activities are a huge passion of mine, so I decided to cover local spots and do video reviews. I get businesses noticed through social media marketing. Specifically targeted to audiences that make sense for that business.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I built my audience pretty fast in the last few months. I believe the reason is because when I created Ohio Places To Go, I created it around what I thought people wanted to see. It isn’t “Katie Eat’s in Ohio” because realistically, no one knows Katie Noble. They know Ohio, and they want to know where to go. Sure, I put a personal touch on it. But the page isn’t about me, it is about Ohio and what I believed people would enjoy seeing.
It is realistically all about the consumer and what they want. Humbling LOL but it is the truth!

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me, my favorite thing is to see a small business that I post go viral. Knowing that I am helping a business grow when they deserve it is huge to me. I did a video for a small cheesecake shop in Strongsville, Ohio (Messy Aprons) and it got over 230k views on TikTok and 82k on IG. Knowing that those posts drove business into a small family owned deserving business made my heart so happy. The owner is so sweet and deserves it!
