Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Katie Flom. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I started my business out of a love for photographing the candid small moments you share with loved ones. I adore getting to capture how it really felt in the moment. I primarily focus on weddings, couples, engagements, and portraits, but also am passionately fond of a good creative editorial shoot, branding, or even boudoir! My photo and editing style takes a more photojournalistic approach. I focus on being in the background, letting you have your moment, and capturing anything and everything that comes from that. Of course, there’s still room for direction and some posing for the classic and timeless portraits, but I always want to make sure that when you look back at the photos of your wedding, you get to relive the day all over again. From booking me as your wedding day photographer to post honeymoon, I make sure to give you the best possible client experience.

It takes practice and time,
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
By far, word of mouth is the best source of new clients. Tools like Instagram, Facebook groups, even ads, can definitely be useful, but at the end of the day, people who connect with your work will want to tell their friends, and people will trust their friends’ opinions more often than not.
