We were lucky to catch up with Katie Cobbs recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Katie, thanks for joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
Our business began with a dream—my incredible mom’s vision of owning her own marketing company. She hit the ground running, and just as things were picking up, the world changed with COVID. Surprisingly, the virtual aspect of our business took off! But shortly after, life threw us another curveball: my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, and she couldn’t keep up the same workload during her chemo treatments.
That’s when I decided to step in. I left my job and moved in with my parents to help take care of her and take on some of her clients. Soon enough, I started bringing in clients of my own and launched the social media side of our business—and it all just blossomed from there! Now, I get to work alongside my amazing mom every single day!

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
This is a testament to my mom’s strength. At this point, I was already staying with them during COVID to help out, and one day, she walked into the living room after a business call and said, “I want you to shave my head right now.” To say I was shocked would be an understatement—I almost spit my water everywhere. But she looked at me and said, “This will not define me.”
We walked into the bathroom, cranked up some killer music, had a mini dance party, and shaved her head while we both cried. But in that moment, we knew—she was going to be okay. That’s what true strength is, and it’s moments like these that make me so proud to work with my mom every single day.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Word of mouth and reviews! We are incredibly grateful for the amazing community of clients and people we have the privilege of working with. The support and kind words from those we’ve worked with have created a steady stream of referrals, and we couldn’t be more thankful. There’s no better feeling than having clients come to us because of the recommendations from past clients. Your trust means the world to us!
