We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Katie Bressack. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Katie below.
Katie, appreciate you joining us today. We’re complete cheeseballs and so we love asking folks to share the most heartwarming moment from their career – do you have a touching moment you can share with us?
I have so many stories to share, but what really comes to mind is when I hear from clients that I’ve worked with over the years, I love staying in touch!
They reach out to share incredible life changing moments with me, like pregnancy announcements, a job promotion, running a 5K and just letting me know that they feel their best and continue to thrive with their health and hormones.
It’s really incredible to witness life changing moments that happen after they take time to support their overall health and wellness.
Just recently a client sent me this text message, “I just found out yesterday that I am pregnant. First, I need to extend my tremendous gratitude. My period was a mess before working with you and I got pregnant the first time we tried!! I just can’t believe it’s real and I just feel incredibly grateful.”
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
With the busy lifestyle that most of us lead it’s really important to understand the effects that stress has on our health and especially our hormones. What works for men’s health, won’t support women’s health because we must learn how to work with, not against our hormones. A big part of this is eating for our hormones.
I specialize in hormonal health and support busy women with nutrition and wellness counseling who are experiencing painful periods, PCOS, heavy/irregular periods, amenorrhea and thyroid imbalances, post birth control, pre/postnatal and preparing for pregnancy. I also helps women transition through perimenopause and menopause.
I support my clients either one-on-one or in my group or self study program. With a personalized approach we focus on supporting our blood sugar, improving our gut and liver, plus learn ways to cope and manage stress, improve our sleep and move our bodies with our cycle. With over 12 years of experience my clients improve their energy, reduce sugar cravings and feel more comfortable in their bodies.
Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
What I have found to be the most important skill is listening! I really need to understand what my clients challenges and struggles are so that we can figure out the best way to move forward. If I didn’t ask enough questions or get curious enough I feel like I would be missing key information. My clients often share with me that no one has ever asked them those questions before, and how valuable it was to talk it out and come up with a realistic plan that works for them.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Referrals have been the best way that I have grown my business. When a client of mine works with me and then shares my information with a friend or family member that means so much to me and has been a great way to grow my business.
