We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Katie Anderson a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Katie , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Success means different things to different people, but for me, staying motivated is key. My journey, my testimony, drives me to not only improve for myself but also to inspire others around me. Every step I take is with the intention of leading by example and helping others achieve success through their own unique paths. At Let’s Get Social, it’s about bringing passion and consistency to every project, while staying true to my values and encouraging others to do the same.

Katie , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I started my own marketing company, Let’s Get Social Society, in 2021 it was a leap of faith fueled by passion and experience. Before diving into entrepreneurship, I spent seven years in retail management and ran an online retail business called Bleached Babes. That experience was a turning point for me. In the first year alone, I grossed $68,000 in sales—all thanks to the power of social media.
Witnessing how a strong online presence could transform a business, I felt inspired to help other entrepreneurs achieve the same success. I set out to create a company that would make social media an essential, seamless extension of any brand. Launching Let’s Get Social Society wasn’t without its challenges, but my mission was clear: to offer businesses vibrant, innovative strategies that build cohesive and recognizable brands. I’ve always believed that consistency in visuals, voice, and messaging strengthens brand identity—and it’s been incredible to see my clients thrive because of it.
Today, Let’s Get Social Society has become a trusted partner for businesses across 30A, Nashville, Tampa, and beyond. Whether it’s working with iconic names like the Hilton or helping small businesses find their voice, I’m proud to lead a company that empowers others to grow through the power of social media.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Owning a business is often an uphill battle, and one of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is convincing companies to hire an agency instead of relying on in-house employees. This story is a testament to how hard work and persistence truly pay off. Back in December 2023, I had a meeting with one of my dream companies, but they chose to go with an in-house hire. Fast forward to August 2024, and they were back on the hunt to fill that same gap. This time, I had a full team in place, and we’d partnered with a video production company. After another meeting, we landed a one-year contract. This experience showed me the power of staying committed and always striving to bring the best to the table.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Never underestimate the power of in-person networking. I pushed myself to attend events solo, and that’s when everything changed. By stepping out of my comfort zone and meeting people in my area, I built valuable connections. Word of mouth travels fast, especially in business, and those connections quickly turned into opportunities. Networking face-to-face allowed me to build trust and foster relationships that continue to fuel the success of Let’s Get Social. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the best way to grow is to put yourself out there and let others see the real you.
