We were lucky to catch up with Kathrin Rein recently and have shared our conversation below.
Kathrin, appreciate you joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
When I was in my early 20s my father passed unexpectedly. He had no life insurance and no succession plan in place to provide for me and my family. That made me realize how important financial planning is. To take care of us was always my dad’s biggest priority but he did not prepare for life’s worst case scenario.
I have made it my mission to not only help my family to be set up for this but to help my clients and friends to become financially free by investing into cash flowing properties and leave a legacy for generations to come

Kathrin, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I grew up in a very small town in Germany in a lower middle class family. My parents made sure I had a great education. I play 6 instruments, speak 4 languages and I played multiple sports competitively while growing up. I fell in love with acting at a young age and did theater for a long time in school, always as the leading role. After high school I went to acting school. I was the lead character in a German telenovela and acted in many commercials, movies and tv shows. I also was a stand up comedian and performed at the LA Improv and Comedy Store in LA.
I had my son young and wanted a job with more stability. Somehow I had a friend that was my realtor that thought I would be great in real estate and talked me into it. He was a good recruiter. I would have never seen myself in this profession. But he saw something in me and I am forever grateful for the opportunity. Real estate has been the ticket for my entire family to lead a better life. I love working, problem solving and negotiating deals. I would say my biggest strengths are thinking outside the box and finding solutions where others would give up. I’m most proud of being a first generation immigrant in this country that has become a multi millionaire through hard work. I came here with $750 in my pocket and built through hard work and the support of my husband (also from Germany) and children not only a big business but also a big rental portfolio. My clients love my work ethic, persistance and that I care more than others. I hold now key note speeches for different industries on how to build wealth and create financial freedom. This is my favorite thing to do!

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
Loyalty in my line of business is almost non existent, however 99% of my clients are loyal to the bone. They know what they have with me and they are always coming back. A mentor once told me that if my client would have lunch with my competitor and I would be ok with that it means I have a great client relationship because I have nothing to fear.
I love on my clients and care just a lot more than most and they hear from me often. We have clients events, tons of updates and most important: I save them a lot of money on the buy and sell side but they also know the advice and vendors I connect them with are priceless

Have you ever had to pivot?
During COVID. We had to do for a few months all showings virtual. It worked and I became a master in doing it all virtual. LOVED IT!
