Hi Katherine, thanks for joining us today. Being a business owner can be really hard sometimes. It’s rewarding, but most business owners we’ve spoken sometimes think about what it would have been like to have had a regular job instead. Have you ever wondered that yourself? Maybe you can talk to us about a time when you felt this way?
I love being a business owner!! It’s one of the most rewarding things you can do as well as have such a great return on investment! I have worked a ‘regular’ 9-5 job before and it does not compare.
Being a full-time realtor you can truly see the hard work and value of putting time and money into your own business. It’s empowering to see your hard efforts come to life and pay off as you continually work to build a brand and clientele.

Katherine, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hi, I am Katherine! I am a full-time real estate agent serving the north side of Indianapolis. Anywhere from Broadripple to Carmel, Noblesville, and Westfield!
I have always been in the people business! From being a wedding photographer full time I decided I also wanted to do another job that kept me on my toes! I love being able to help people with big life events!!
A lot of being a realtor is being able to problem-solve! What’s the ‘problem’ –> Well, they need to buy or sell. The solution? I am a local agent that can guide them through the process from start to finish.
Since being a realtor, I have seen the importance of keeping current with the market, not only being able to help people find a home but educating them along the way! I think that is a big part of what sets me aside from other agents in the area.
I work hard to make sure my clients know what is involved in such a big purchase!
I am most proud of knowing that I take care of my clients to the best of my ability! Every homeowner is different and I strive to make sure I cater to what they are comfortable with, and how they work!
If I could let people know one thing about my business, it’s that I truly care about the best outcome for them! Not every outcome ends in having a house, sometimes it means waiting & that’s okay! If that is the solution, I help create stepping stones, so that when we are ready to look – we will be well equipt!

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I am a huge social media lover! It’s not for everyone, but it’s a great tool to use! It’s free and it’s a huge platform to reach so many people.
I built my social media by simply being present and showing up on my feed. It takes time. But- consistency is key!!! Just like anything, nothing happens overnight.
It’s important to be authentic & to attract who you want to serve in your business!
For me, I want to attract serious buyers or buyers who are curious about the home-buying process. I want to build connections and accountability with those who invest in me!
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I think what helped me most with building a reputation within my market is continuing to be consistent in what I do, overtime people will see what I am about!
