Katherine, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.

The way I came up with my business is, I love lipstick and lipgloss and I always wanted to have my own business but I didn’t know what. So as I seen people selling the same thing and everyone was doing good I knew I can start my lipgloss and lipstick business. But I wanted to stand out so because my background is kids I also did a line just for kids to.

Katherine, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My name is Katherine Burks and my business name is Kat unique and I’m from Maryland. I had one of my friends help me start my business and guide me with it. I sale lipstick and lipgloss for kids and adults. I haven’t had a client problem but I always make sure my customer are happy and satisfied. What set me apart is I have a line for kids and adults.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

I had to unlearn patient , I was not always good with it but having my business it definitely had taught me to do better at it.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

A small story from my journey that illustrates my resilience is not given up but keep working hard at what I love. I always been a person when things don’t go well for me I just stop but I really work hard for this and I been just continue to working and building my brand.
