We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kate Ziuz a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Kate thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
My business was born at the intersection of personal experience, professional expertise, and a deep understanding of a challenge many women face—but rarely speak about: projecting the confidence and authority they already possess.
When I moved to the United States, my confidence was tested despite a strong background in leadership, dance, and high-profile corporate roles. I found unexpected empowerment through high heels dance—a discipline that revealed how profoundly body language shapes self-perception and how others perceive us. I began to notice something striking: even the most accomplished women sometimes failed to command the presence their expertise deserved.
That realization sparked something in me. Confidence isn’t just internal—it’s expressed externally. Presence is a skill, and it can be refined. Yet many body language experts rely on old-school advice recycled from the same books, often missing the evolving dynamics of modern presence. And in public speaking, it’s often men teaching general techniques that overlook the unique challenges and strengths of women. I knew there was a need for a fresh, tailored approach—one that spoke directly to high-achieving women who wanted to refine their presence to match their power.
That’s how my coaching business was born. I created a unique methodology blending movement, leadership, and communication techniques to help women refine their presence so it powerfully matches their ambition. My approach isn’t about “fixing” confidence—it’s about elevating it to match a woman’s next level. I work with clients who already know their value—they just want their presence to reflect it.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m a self-presentation and confidence coach who helps high-achieving women master their body language, self-presentation, and energy so they can elevate their image and achieve their next-level professional and personal goals.
My journey began long before this became a business. I’ve always been drawn to performance and leadership. I built a high-profile career in Ukraine, working with the Ukrainian Parliament, a top investment company, a Big 4 firm, and a leading tech organization. On paper, I had the perfect corporate career—but I noticed a recurring pattern: brilliant women were shrinking in meetings, interviews, and presentations. Not because they lacked expertise, but because no one had taught them how to embody their presence in a way that matched their competence.
When I moved to California, I faced my own challenges. Cultural differences and workplace dynamics, including occasional discrimination, tested my confidence. That’s when I reconnected with movement and expression through teaching high heels dance classes. Dance became a powerful tool for transformation. I saw my students evolve—not just in how they moved, but in how they showed up in life.
This is when everything came together: confidence is not only an internal mindset—it’s a visible, trainable skill. I built a coaching business designed specifically for women who are already confident, but want to refine their presence so they’re seen, heard, and remembered.
Today, I work with businesswomen, solopreneurs, creatives, and professionals preparing for media appearances, investor pitches, leadership roles, pageants, photoshoots, and milestone celebrations. My clients want to polish their presence—not start from scratch.
What sets me apart is my ability to make presence tangible and trainable. I don’t offer generic tips—I provide detailed, customized strategies. From refining posture, movement, and facial expressions to mastering subtle cues like micro-body language, I help women project presence that matches their power.
One of my proudest moments was coaching a client who went on to win Mrs. International. Her transformation wasn’t about looking poised—it was about embodying an unforgettable presence that reflected her true authority. That’s what I help women achieve.

Have you ever had to pivot?
My biggest pivot happened when I left a successful corporate career to build something of my own. I had worked in high-profile institutions across politics, finance, and tech—roles that offered stability, status, and a clear path forward. But over time, I realized that what looked like success on paper didn’t feel like fulfillment in real life.
I wanted to do work that created direct, meaningful impact—something that felt alive, personal, and transformational. I had already seen the power of presence—through my dance students and through my own evolution. I realized I was more passionate about helping women embody confidence and command attention than I was about climbing any corporate ladder.
Everyone around me thought I was taking a huge risk. But I knew I had something valuable to offer. I had seen the transformation in my dance students. I had experienced the shift in my own presence. I realized this wasn’t just a passion—it was a calling.
So I made the leap. It was uncertain and uncomfortable—but also liberating. Now, I work with ambitious women who are ready to refine how they show up in the world. My pivot wasn’t just about changing careers—it was about redefining what impact and success truly mean.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
My presence is my business card. When I walk into a room, people take notice—not because I’m the loudest, but because my energy speaks before I do. I embody what I teach—and that builds trust and authority.
Presence creates a ripple effect. When you carry yourself with clarity and power, people treat you differently. They perceive competence and influence instantly. I’ve seen this repeatedly—like the time I walked into a major conference with a general admission ticket, and one of the speakers handed me a $3,000 VIP pass simply because of the way I carried myself. That one moment created extraordinary connections and opportunities. That’s the power of presence—it opens doors.
I’ve also built my reputation by going deeper than surface-level advice. Many coaches offer generic tips. I focus on precision—refining posture, movement, micro-expressions, and energy alignment. My methods are modern, tailored, and designed for high-achieving women who want real, measurable transformation.
Most importantly, my clients become living proof of what’s possible when you align your presence with your power. When they walk into a room, they command attention—and that’s the best marketing I could ask for.
