We were lucky to catch up with Kate Shantz recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Kate, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.

In my previous life, I started working for a large corporation right out of university. About 10 years into my career, in 2012, I began to feel completely disenfranchised with the life I was leading, from a professional standpoint. I was constantly hearing the words, “There has to be more to life than this.” I was extremely depleted on a physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual level. In 2015, I made the choice to leave my job, and I embarked upon the spiritual journey of peeling back the layers to find my true self. My unique soul, and the song that it wanted to sing. Unbeknownst to me at the time, I was going through a massive awakening, and my life would never be the same.

In 2018, I began to practice automatic writing. I would allow the words to flow through my crown and onto the paper, without thinking. I would be woken up in the middle of the night to record things that were coming through. I didn’t know why I was doing this, just that my soul was urging me on. I now know that my own, unique Light had been turned on, and that I was receiving messages from Spirit and my Guides.

Amongst all of this, I discovered Astrology when someone shared my Birth Chart with me. I couldn’t believe how my chart captured who I am to my core, and explained why my life is the way it is. I began working with Astrology and tracking the transits. This became a map for my life, as well as triggering even more healing and shedding of layers.

In 2021 during a meditation, the Planet Venus came to me and she started sharing words and images with me. I started intentionally connecting with her, along with the other Planets, and I began to receive guidance from them in areas I was struggling with. I started offering readings to my friends so that I could practice, and the response was incredible. The Planets were helping people in areas of their lives where they were stuck. The Planets were shining a Light to help people come Home to themselves.

As for the Animals, my husband and I brought our dog Briar Rose home with us in 2021. I set the intention that I wanted to communicate with her. I have always loved Animals since I was a young girl, and it has been clear to me for a very long time that they are here on Earth to help humanity evolve. We just need to be able to hear them and the wisdom they have to share. I practiced looking into her eyes so that I could connect with her Heart. Like the Planets, I soon started hearing words and seeing images from her. I began practicing with the animal companions of friends, and similar to the Planet readings, the response was amazing. I began offering Animal Communication readings in 2022.

I wasn’t aware of many others who were channeling the Planets and the Animals. My Heart was leading me towards offering this as a service for this very reason. In addition to this, I knew that the Earth was, and still is, going through a massive awakening, and that many people would feel lost and confused, just like I did when I went through my own awakening. The world and everything that we thought to be true is suddenly turned upside down and this is an incredibly jarring experience.

The Planets and the Animals speak about Love and connecting back to our Heart. Which ultimately leads us back Home to ourselves – who we are and why our soul decided to be on Earth at this time.

I know my mission on Earth is to help guide people to their Truth. To allowing the fear to fall away so that they can speak their Truth – to themselves first, and then to the outside world. This is how the world heals and how we navigate this next cycle that Earth is entering. Coming Home to ourselves and to our Truth so that we can all shine our own, unique, bright, Light. It is an honour to be a conduit for the Planets and the Animals, who are here to partner with all of Humanity, so that we can soar.

Kate, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I currently offer two types of readings:

1. All Planet Reading – this is a general reading that I provide over Zoom where people can ask for guidance and clarity on any aspect of their lives – relationships, love, work, emotions they are feeling, really anything. Anywhere in their life that they feel stuck and require more guidance. Each of the Planets represent an archetype, and depending upon the challenges a person is going through, different Planets will come through to share guidance. For example, Venus represents love, beauty, and money. Mercury represents communication. Pluto is the Planet of transformation and re-birth. Neptune, the Planet of spirituality. All messages that the Planets bring through are for that person’s best and highest good at that time.

2. Animal Communication Reading – this is a reading that I share in an audio format. I ask for a picture of the individual’s animal companion where I can see their eyes. This is a very important part of the process, as this is how I make the connection with their Heart. Their Heart is where they store all of their messages. People have the opportunity to ask 3-5 questions. These can include questions about their animal companion’s well-being, if they like their food, why certain behaviours are happening and what can be done to help, and guidance they have for their human. I often find that even if someone doesn’t specifically ask for their guidance, they will still share something because that is part of the soul contract that has been made. Each of us who has an animal companion has made a soul contract with them, and they are here to help us in their own, unique way.

Reflecting back on the past few years, I feel incredibly honoured to work with the Planets and the Animals to bring through countless messages and guidance that has helped people find their voice again, their Truth, and the unique spark of Light that lives inside of them.

The Planets and the Animals are able to hone in on how people can live as their true selves, thus living a life of ease, with purpose, and with Love for themselves. For that is what the messages all center around: Love. Love first. Love for ourselves first. Believing in ourselves and our voices and our Truth. And not shying away or hiding ourselves in the shadows. We begin to bloom and blossom when we see and accept the Love within ourselves. This is where our Truth in this Life lies. The Planets and the Animals will help to shine a Light on the Love that lives within all of us, and then they will keep that steady beam of Light lit so that we can all find our way Home to the Truth of who we are meant to be.

The Planets and the Animals have stepped forward at this time because we are in a pivotal time where it is so important that more and more of us throw off the shackles and find our Truth. They are here and they are ready to help us. To show us how to believe in ourselves again. And soar.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

The biggest thing that I needed to unlearn was that it wasn’t safe to be myself.

Up until a few years ago, I wore a mask. I didn’t show my True self to the world, and I definitely didn’t speak my Truth. I had learned early on that in order to get by in this world, I needed to hide my true thoughts and feelings so that I wouldn’t be judged or shunned. What a disservice that was to my soul, living most of my life in this way. I had dimmed my True Light, and because of this, I didn’t know who I was anymore.

Through my own healing, shadow work, and working with my Guides, I began to feel and see how important it was to drop my mask. My mask wasn’t protecting me, it was hindering me from living a full life.

I started showing up on social media more and actually using my voice, my throat chakra, to strengthen it. I shared who I am. I found the courage to start offering my readings, knowing in my Heart that not everyone would resonate with them, but that this didn’t matter because I knew in my soul there would be people out there who would. This was beyond me. This was part of my soul’s service and the mask had to go.

And when I dropped the mask, my soul clients appeared. Those who my soul had made a contract with their soul to guide at this time in their life. They would never have been able to find me of I was still wearing my mask. And, I also found more of my soul family.

When we wear a mask, when we muzzle our voice and our Truth, we are doing a disservice to our Heart and our Souls. We dim our Light, and it cannot shone through the barriers that we have put up.

Dropping the mask and finding my voice was the most liberating thing I have ever done. I would do it a thousand times over.

If anyone is reading this and feels stifled by the mask you are wearing, know that you can drop it too. For you were born with a Lion Heart, full of courage and bravery. And Light. Light that is ready, and waiting, to shine through.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?

Social media has been a huge source for me. Like I mentioned, when I dropped my mask and started showing up as myself through written posts and videos, my soul clients found me and booked readings.

Word of mouth has also been a great source. I find that when people share their experience with the Planets and the Animals, this intrigues other people, who then reach out to me.
