Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kate Jade. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Kate, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
One of the most meaningful projects that I have worked on is the new learning program, The Mystic’s Journey, being offered through Astarte’s Temple.
When I first began my esoteric wisdom journey I had no idea what I was in for but it ultimately led me to the discovery of who I am today. Through The Mystic’s Journey, my heart is to help people who have deconstructed from modern religion and are pursuing alternative spiritual paths to have the tools and resources needed to find their way.
Students enrolled in the program learn about a variety of esoteric traditions and wisdom principles, including Canaanite mysteries, Egyptian Hermeticism, ancient archetypes, Vedic wisdom, occultism, and more over the course of three and a half years. Since everything is offered virtually, students gain the benefits of flexible, self-paced learning while still tapping into the knowledge of ancient practitioners.

Kate, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I have been studying, teaching, and practicing in the esoteric wisdom space for 14 years now, though my love for mysticism and my natural mediumship abilities began in childhood. My background is in ancient Canaanite mysteries, Egyptian wisdom, Hermeticism, Occultism, Paganism, and the like—and I am especially passionate about sharing this esoteric wisdom with other spiritual practitioners who are ready to embrace older traditions of magick.
Since childhood, I loved writing and finding magickal threads amongst legends of old to connect the mundane and spiritual worlds. Everything was a metaphor—but the question was for what? When I discovered Lady Wisdom, her story began to shine through everywhere I looked. I found her in science, mythology, religion, film, dreams, nature, and everywhere in between.
Unfortunately, I’ve learned the hard way that other people often can only understand her through a singular lens. Some understand her divinity exclusively through religion as God, others solely through pagan eyes as Mother Nature, and others only through studying mathematics and the nature of the universe. What many have not yet come to accept, though, is that she is all of these things—and to connect to the magick and mysteries of life itself is to connect to her.
Quite literally since the dawn of human civilization, divine feminine and mother goddess figures who represented both darkness and light, and death and rebirth, have held a prominent place in the belief systems and cultures of peoples around the world. From the ancient Canaanite goddess Astarte to the Egyptian goddess Isis, the Greco-Roman Gaia, the Mesopotamian Hekate, the Hindu Kali, the Roman Venus, the Nordic Frigg, the Celtic Morrigan, the Mesoamerican Santa Muerte, the Catholic Mary, the First-Century Christian Holy Spirit, the Gnostic Sophia, and the East Asian Guanyin, the archetype of the powerful, nurturing mother deity has been revered and worshiped for millennia.
These mother goddesses were not mere fertility symbols, but complex, multifaceted energetic beings who embodied the creative, sustaining, and transformative powers of the natural world. They were seen as the primal source from which other forms of life could spring forth, the providers of abundance and prosperity, and the ultimate guardians and protectors of humanity. Their temples and shrines attracted devotees seeking blessings, healing, and guidance, whether it be in times of peace or times of war.
Even as patriarchal religions rose to dominance in many regions, the enduring power and influence of the mother goddess can still be felt, thanks to the faithful remnant who chose to never forget her. Her presence lives on in folk traditions, spiritual practices, and the deep-seated human yearning for the feminine divine to live on and thrive forevermore.
This path and all of these discoveries are what led me to the founding of Astarte’s Temple. Through the temple, my heart has been to provide a safe place for people to learn, heal, and grow. The Mystic’s Journey program that I’ve developed is the core of Astarte’s Temple and comprises everything I’ve discovered over the last 14 years.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Within communities in the pagan, spiritual, and metaphysical space, energy is EVERYTHING. Those who are well-versed and knowledgable can read energy and know with a great deal of certainty whether someone is decent or shady.
Sadly, there are many scammers and people who have predatory business practices in all industries, and the spiritual communities are no exception. In fact, I would even go as far as stating that it might even be worse than some other industries. Nearly everyone in the world has a deep-seated need to feel accepted, loved, seen, understood, etc., and when those needs are not met, they turn anywhere they can to look for validation and support. All too often, I see and hear of people who are taken advantage of by spiritual predators who exploit people’s vulnerability and fear.
For me, I never want to be accused of being anything less than honest, trustworthy, and genuine. I want those who are well-versed and knowledgeable in the spiritual space as well to see my heart and wisdom, and I want those who are searching for hope and answers to feel the love and good energy put into everything created through Astarte’s Temple.
To accomplish this, I strive to communicate with customers about the sourcing, creation, and energy put into each product and partner with trusted groups and shops in the community to build our reputation. For me, profit is never more important than ensuring that each person who interacts with Astarte’s Temple leaves with hope, resources, and tools that are aligned with them energetically and empower them to be the best versions of themselves. This often includes providing lots of free resources, such as courses, articles, and downloadables, volunteering and hosting booths at local events to build relationships, and other forms of community building.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Everything I create whether it be writing and publishing a book, crafting new metaphysical tools, or any other artistic endeavor, it’s always spiritually fueled. There’s nothing more freeing or fulfilling than having a spiritual epiphany and being able to use that to bring something brand new to life. In typical 9 to 5 jobs, there isn’t a lot of opportunity to use your spirituality to shape your work, but as an artist and creative I can—and that’s incredibly rewarding to look at something you made and know there are pieces of the divine and yourself woven into what you’ve made.
