We were lucky to catch up with Kassandra Ramirez recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Kassandra, thanks for joining us today. Going back to the beginning – how did you come up with the idea in the first place?
Contagion Media Art Agency began as a concept in 2017 while I was attending NAU double majoring in photography and creative media & film. At the time, my professors continued to emphasize choosing one medium to focus on. I had been an artist for years creating music, photography, and videography. With passion and experience in all three mediums, I could not imagine just choosing one. In this moment, I thought of how there was agencies for various artists but couldn’t think of an agency that showcases interdisciplinary artists like me. That is when Contagion Media was born.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is KBR (Kassandra Brissette Ramirez) and I am an artist and the CEO of Contagion Media Art Agency, I am a photographer, musician, and videographer. At Contagion Media, we feature artists of all mediums and we specialize in commercial content creation for magazines, websites, and social media.
We create next level commercial content that breaks artistic boundaries and makes our clients’ audiences inspired to connect with the brands we work with. We want the world to appreciate art and artists and understand the value creatives bring to the table in society. Our ideal client is anyone in art, fashion, beauty, health, and fitness who needs captivating content that builds community and FOMO.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Pushing artistic boundaries with Contagion Media’s projects is the main way we get noticed in the industry. We work with next level artists who specialize in the work they are contributing to the production. When you have a team of incredible artists who prioritize the vision, you can accomplish anything.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding part of being an artist is sharing art and connecting with the community through expression. It is so amazing how healing art can be in all of its forms: music, painting, photography, modeling, etc. The possibilities are endless. Ultimately art builds compassion between people which is why Contagion Media’s mission is so important. We want artists to be the best versions of themselves so they are able to focus on breaking artistic boundaries in their creations.
