We were lucky to catch up with Kasey Sisson recently and have shared our conversation below.

Kasey, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. One of the most important things small businesses can do, in our view, is to serve underserved communities that are ignored by giant corporations who often are just creating mass-market, one-size-fits-all solutions. Talk to us about how you serve an underserved community.

We started our business to bridge a significant gap in marketing access for small businesses. Too often, local businesses lack the resources to effectively market their unique stories and ideas. I’m passionate about using storytelling as a powerful tool to help these businesses connect with their communities. While we may not be able to support everyone, we’re committed to keeping our services affordable, allowing us to make a meaningful impact for as many businesses as possible.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

Hey, I’m Kasey – a social media expert, content creator, and educator! My journey into the industry began organically; after years of creating content for myself and local businesses, it felt natural to launch Kasey S Consulting. Founded in 2022, we’ve grown from a solo venture to a dedicated team committed to helping brands with storytelling and cohesive brand imagery.
Based in Bryan-College Station and expanding outward, we specialize in social media management, brand development, content creation, web design, and event coordination. Our approach is comprehensive yet tailored because we recognize that each business is unique. My team and I work to simplify marketing for our clients, letting them focus on their own passions.
What sets us apart? A true dedication to understanding each client’s story, an emphasis on affordability, and a hands-on approach that includes everything from strategy building to daily social media management. I’m especially proud of our journey from a dream to a thriving, impactful business with meaningful client relationships. Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?

I was blessed to meet Erin, our Account Manager but I often refer to her as my business partner, when we were in 7th grade. It wasn’t until we reconnected after college that I realized I wanted to work with her. I originally brought her on to help with the copywriting for client content. She has quickly grown as a leader for our team and is now overseeing all of our client and content needs. I couldn’t imagine our business without Erin at the helm!

Can you talk to us about how you funded your business?

Honestly? Social media is an unique business to be in because you don’t need initial capital to start! I was fortunate enough to have two clients before I branched off on my own, after the encouragement from my mentor, so it was not as big of a “leap” to start the business. I had another part time job at the time as well that gave me enough steady income to where I was able to not pay myself for the first two years of the business – I intentionally put money right back into the business to allow it to grow faster and it paid off!
